I agree wholeheartedly on this one, Smokey. Nifong railroaded those college kids and tried to ruin their lives before their careers were even started. The D.A. does not play the role of judge, jury, executioner, he files charges on suspects based on the rule of law and not his personal opinions. The law says innocent until proven beyond a reasonable doubt guilty. Nifong abused his position as the D.A. in Raleigh/Durham was charging those kids to be guilty via the press and because of a questionable victim. Whereas, the other eyewitness, other stripper said nothing ever happened in the context that the other one was claiming happened. Nifong in addition, to losing his law license should have to spend 6 mos to a year in prison so that he knows what being screwed over is all about. Good thread, Smokey!
