Nick Fazekas wavied: Should Rockets pick him up?

    Yeah, I was thinking he would make a decent first round pick too. In fact, when we traded for Landry, I had not seen enough of him to have an opinion, so I was mostly negative. But I don't watch as much college ball as NBA ball, just typically the end of season tourneys and the Big Dance. I had studied Fazekas a little bit because he was thinking about coming out a year earlier and his team did win a lot of games. He seemed to always be showing up in highlights making the winning shot, free throws, or rebound. I still think he's an NBAer, and I think he's got the size to play a Brad Miller type role for someone once he gets a little bit stronger. But he is more of a rangy 4/5 type player in the mold of Miller, Okur, or perhaps even Mark Blout without as much athleticism. I'd still like to see him on a good team as a backup, especially as an offensive floor spreader playing the 5.
