I think he makes it but next year can not go like this year or it’s bye bye. In Caserio we still trust
I'll believe it when I see it. I don't think Tommy Boy knows how to make important choices, he just waits for somebody to tell him what to do. No Cesario,no BOB, and no Easterby, no chance that happens until he has somebody else in place to give him direction.
I hope this Jason LaConfora rumor is true. The only right way to move on from Lovie is to also fire Caserio. Completely clean house. Last month, Rivers McCown wrote an excellent piece on why Caserio should be fired: The Case to Fire Nick Caserio (Already) https://www.riversmccown.com/2022/11/02/the-case-to-fire-nick-caserio-already/
John McClain right on cue to carry water for his boy Caserio: John McClain: McNairs need to show patience with Nick Caserio https://www.gallerysports.com/john-mcclain-mcnairs-need-to-show-patience-with-nick-caserio/ But it’s fine to go ahead and fire a second coach after only one year. Lovie deserves no patience:
If Caserio is fired next year, that seems like the worst case. Then you have a new GM with a head coach and QB he didn't pick and the cycle of dysfunction just repeats itself and GM blames coach and vice-versa. Either Caserio should gone this year, or I think he has to get several years. This, of course, assumes they hire a semi-competent coach instead of a 3rd placeholder.
They'll hire a consultancy firm to recommend what to do... whether they do that or not remains to be seen, but there will be a consultant! (and I highly doubt any consultant looks at everything out there right now and says to stand pat...)
