I was defiantly against them hiring another first-time coordinator, which never had anything to do specifically with Caley. There just wasn't any rational reason for spending several weeks of your regular season waiting for everyone to figure it out. But! These past five quarters are really encouraging and they get two weeks to roll up their sleeves and get better. You can say whatever you want about the competition - but I urge to remember: they couldn't do dick for ~3 quarters against the Titans so competition hasn't really been the issue as much as strategy and, more blatantly, execution. And they have looked like a day/night different unit, from that perspective. Sometimes, new things take time and then just CLICK. If the 4Q v Titans was their click.......
You know what's been a breathe of fresh air these past 5 quarters... minimum penalties due to OL. Yah, there were some here and there, but not as many crippling penalties of false starts (!!) and offensive holding.
