At least it's someone that wasn't already on the staff. I'm all for someone new coming in with new ideas.
Seemed like the leader of the pack candidates. They wanted to hire him to DeMeco's staff originally but now Nick gets his John Carol homie in there, I hope he knows what the **** he's doing
I don't have a strong opinion on any of th external candidates, but I definitely didn't want an internal hire after last season's debacle on offense. So this makes me happy!
Posted the 80% shotgun ratio used in the 2020 season by legend Tim Kelly in the other thread. I see the Texans going to more of that. But working with the Rams, he can also mix in the under center nostalgia. Seven's favorite qb is Stafford. Bring on Kupp.
Whether it was fair or not there was too much PTSD built up from last season for me to get on board with an internal hire. I don't mind if Caley or DeMeco keep him
Maybe he'll be great, but I did not want a rookie OC and the learning curve that goes with it. I had preferred a former HC or at minimum somebody with previous OC experience.
I hope he can bring those plays the Rams ran. Seemed like those guys were always open. Joe Mixon is for sure a better back than Kyren Williams. This is the guy I wanted so hope he can get us a Top 5 offense.
Honestly I didn’t love any of the options available from the jump but if you trust Meco then you have to trust the hire. I’m just glad it seems to have the potential of new ideas coming in. If it’s not working figure something else out… hopefully he can do that. Little nervous. Little excited
