I know how badly you want to spin this, but there really is no deal yet. If there were, even Fake News CNN and MSNBC would be talking about the details. This is just making his base think he replaced NAFTA.

Now, if a real deal actually gets signed and it turns out to be the bee's knees, that'll be different.

The facts are clear on Trump's economic success. Glad at least one liberal around here is mature enough to "admit" this plainly obvious point.

trump tarriffs, protectionist trade policies and farm subsidies are more in line with bernie sanders than reagan...and so-called fiscal conservatives LOVE IT!

his irresponsible tax cuts will increase the debt by $1 trillion over the next 10 years...and so-called fiscal conservatives LOVE IT!

also, is mexico still going to pay for the wall???

Tariffs are a means to an end...just using them for temporary leverage.

lol. look what trump has done to yall! you call people "liberals" while you support and defend liberal/socialist/commie economic policies...you trump supporters/defenders actually think you are fiscal conservatives. sad.

and if you really believed that tariffs were so great then you wouldnt have to give $12 billion of our tax dollars to buy off farmers who will be hurt by those tariffs. anyone who is not totally biased can see what is going on there...he is using our tax dollars to buy the votes of people hurt by his tariffs...and so called-fiscal conservatives LOVE IT!

which makes imposing tariffs and protectionist trade policies even more stupid than it already would be. again, trump has got so-called "conservatives" so flipped that they are now pro-tariff/pro-protectionist trade policy/pro-union/pro-farm subsidies. crazy times!

Remember, Mexico isn't agreeing unless Canada is part of any deal. And it appears trump is sabotaging any chance for Canada agreeing by "leaking" out comments about the US-Canada negotiations ("said off the record")...

    Read entire tweet thread...

To be fair those comments that were supposed to be off the record don't sound too different from what Trump has been doing and saying publicly with every other potential trade deal. Also, it wasn't Trump who is leaking the comments. He made the off the record comments to Bloomberg and then the Toronto Star somehow got word of the comments and are reporting them and saying they not bound to any promises of not reporting the comments. Anyhow....good work for clicks Toronto Star.
