Aaron is probably better right now, but I'm really glad we better on defense with Dragic.

He has good height for a PG and I think he rebounds a little better for the position too.

Next year we have the team option for Goran, so we're not tied to him long term.

Llull from what I remember signed a contract recently with his European team and the buyout is still steep. Someone correct me cause I'm going by vague memory.

Yeah, I was thinking we would have to wait another season or two, but Dragic almost sounds like a Llull replacement (and quite possibly not as good). I do like the fact that he's played with Nash, though. You would think the guy would have picked up a lot from the future Hall of Famer.

Obviously, Aaron is the better offensive player. Like that article said, Brooks can fill it up... but he has severely lacked that "mojo" he had last season. I mean, last year, when Brooks took a 3-point shot, I pretty much knew it was going in. This year, every time he threw up a 3-pointer, I shook my head wondering if we could have found a better one.

But if those defensive statistics on Dragic are true... can you imagine our (possible) second unit?

    Dragic - Lee - Williams - Patterson - Miller

Excluding Miller, that's a pretty solid defensive squad.

That's not to say I don't like Brooks, though. I like the guy, hell I even have a Brooks jersey shirt. I hope he goes to Phoenix and does well for them in the future.

It was just time to move on.

Aaron Brooks: on a mediocre team going nowhere with no go-to scorers so he was forced to shoot alot and sometimes score alot

Goran Dragic: on a team that made it to the Western Conference Finals last year while backing up 2-time MVP Steve Nash

We got a point guard that can FINISH AT THE RIM, PLAY DEFENSE, and SCORE IN TRANSITION.

The three things we suck at.

    Great trade.

Barkley likes him (Dragic), for whatever that's worth.

I was stunned by Dragic's last year Playoffs...i was thinking the reason he's a backup is because of course there is Steve Nash...but he's a hell of player i think.

I can't reconcile these defensive claims with the fact that (as I keep saying) he is statistically identical to Brooks in terms of what happens when his man has the ball. Maybe I don't understanding the defensive rating system but their men score the same # of points while they're guarding them. SMH. But Goran is a better iso defender? So he loses his man on back-picks or something? LOL
