We had absolutely zero depth at the 2 last seaon, and suddenly Cat is expendable? Did we draft or trade for a starting 2 that I don't know about? Pike is a nice backup 2, but he's naturally a 3, and shouldn't be expected to give you starters minutes at the 2.
Speaking of Boki, during the post game interview, he mentioned he brother Grega and that he is playing for UH. Now I remember right after we drafted him, Grega started posting on this site and one of our members told him about coming over to Houston and playing for UH. Who was the member and was he involved?
I remember Grega. Too bad he hasn't been posting since that time. We would welcome some family inside scoops from him.
I kind of recall that thread from last year also now that you mention it. I know for sure that Grega is at UH and is a Freshman walk-on Point Guard for the Basketball squad so it must have worked out just fine...

During the interview last night Bill and Calvin asked him the same thing. His answer " He's better then me " Don't know if he was serious.
Did anyone else think it was weird that Boki started to pump fake the jumpshot after he made four last night and instead try to take it to the hoop. After he hit the 4 threes, he had a chance to shoot the open J, but instead tried taking it to the hoop. I understand the logic, but he was hot so I thought he'd just keep shooting the 3.

Well 4 out of 6 isn't bad....
I think Mobley is expendeable because JJ and Pike can EASILY play 30 minutes at the position, and I'd like to see Francis get more minutes there. Seeing him play off the ball more this season has intruiged me. Francis/JJ/Pike is a pretty damn good SG rotation. If we can package Mobley for a decent PG and a good F, then we're set. Mobley for Earl Watson and Shane Battier would be PERFECT. I've been eyeing Earl Watson's per-minute stats since last season, and he's pretty DAMN good and just about to break out. I think he can handle 15 minutes at PG for us without any problems.
Inspired by the 4 for 4 from Boki last night, I tried to shoot 4 treys today during lunch. Ummm... I only hit 1 of those. Darn it. GO BOKI. He's my look-alike when I shave.
He should hopefully be better considereing Nikoloz was his backup on the team and the only reason he got drafted higher is cause he is 7 feet tall.
