Not a hardcore fan. I'm a big supporter of one of their offseason acquisitions, so I guess I'm the equivalent of a YOF for the Jets.

Laid back was a poor choice of words, but many Jets fans to get frustrated by the fact that he seems to take losses in stride rather than get fired up about them. What he does get fired up about, though, is standing up for his players. He doesn't stand for media schmucks or dumb fans talking bad about his guys.

There goes Jake Plummer throwing the game away AGAIN, sorry Bronco's fans, he and Brian Griese aren't that different. That Colt's offense is SICK, it's like watching the Suns.

Nice game by Ten, Chad Pennington, that dude's my favorite quarterback in the league and I thought he'd keep it close. Nice to see him and Herm Edwards win another playoff game.

So can Tagliabue step in and call this game when the Colts get a five touchdown lead?

Why make Denver fans and the rest of the TV-watching public suffer through this nationally televised humilation?

    SHow me some "Heidi" dammit!

Watching this Broncos-Colts game (which mercifully my TV is off) reminds me of watching the Rockets-Sonics playoffs in the '90s before we got Barkley. But at least the Rockets were competitive. But damn the Colts sure have my team's number.

I didn't expect the Broncos to win but it would have been nice to avoid a repeat of last year's blowout. *sigh*:(

I hate being right all the time.

I don't get the Plummer hate. If you look at the stats, yeah, he's been rough. Watch a game though and you'll realize he has ZERO offensive line help and NO tight end which is a huge part of our offense. I like Jake. Good guy, great in the locker room, always gives his best.

If the Broncos draft anything other than offensive lineman and defensive linemen in this upcoming draft, I will be pissed.

Denver has consistently had a good offensive line (plug in any RB and get a 1300 yard season), and Putzier is a decent TE. Jake Plummer just makes too many mistakes, it's been well documented.

I already said Plummer makes mistakes. As for our OL, yeah, they're good at run blocking. Have you seen our pass blocking? Plummer spends most of every game on the run. I can't remember the last time I saw him drop back and have an actual pocket to stand in.

Putzier? Um.......no. Trust me, if you watched him every week you wouldn't be pumping him up.

I said he was decent, not pumping him up. Plummer is mobile enough to buy himself some time, he just makes bad decisions a little too often and it costs the team.

Culpepper has to put his foot on the Packer's throat with deep throws, or at least throws to wide receivers NOT check downs to running backs and tight ends. Favre doesn't look like he has his best stuff and he's made some bone headed throws but he can turn the game around if the Vikings give him any more chances.

That sucks! Field goals weren't going to cut it anyway...

    That slip was awful.

I badly need the Vikes to win this.

    moe,

You are right about Plummer but he was NOT the reason why the Broncos lost to the Colts today nor was he the reason why they lost last year.

There is something about the Broncos defensive scheme that makes it incredibly easy for Manning to exploit. I would like to think as a Broncos fan that Shanahan prepared for this game by looking at film of the Colts' losses including the one in the playoffs against the Patriots. If he didn't, then that right there tells me he needs to go. But I have little doubt that Manning and company will be stymied by the Patriots just like they were last year. Even if they win that game, I still don't see them beating Pittsburgh.

Getting Champ Bailey and John Lynch helped the D a lot, but Pat Bowlen still needs to look at getting some D-Line help and like Nugs said O-Line help. And they desperately need to figure out something for the defense when they play the Colts in the future.

At least they didn't just completely lay down when it got to be 35-3, but you aren't going to beat anybody if you give up 400 yards of total offense in one half.

And if the Broncos had won those 2 games in the regular season (home against the Raiders and on the road against the Chargers), they would have avoided the Colts, at least in the wildcard round and had a home playoff game (something they haven't had since Elway left). And Plummer was a big reason why they lost those 2 games with his piss-poor decision-making and play. So, yea, moe I guess you are right as Plummer's play in those 2 games indirectly cost the Broncos today as it made them play the Colts instead of someone else like the Jets.
