Don't forget the Chargers 8 losses this year came by a combined 34 points. They gave away game after game at the end, and it seems as though they finally put their heads together and are not making dumb mistakes at the end of games (see 1st game against Pitt.)

It's laughable to say Pitt will have no problem with the Chargers. I sure hope the Pittsburgh players are as confident as most of their fans are because they will get rolled if so. However, I know that is not the case as they are a very professional team led by a darn good coach. It should be a darn good game that I honestly think could go either way.

As a Steeler fan, in the entire playoffs (nfc included) Chargers are the #1 team I'd prefer they play next week. Are the Chargers an autowin? No, but they certainly appear to be the weakest team. But, what do I know, maybe the Chargers will become the Giants.

Shocking news Steelers D dominant Steelers O crap. Earth shattering insight. (1000 words less too)

the chargers are arguably the most complete team in the NFL, that's including a hurt Tomlinson. They have big play receivers, a top three qb, who btw finished with the best rating in the league. arguably the best pass catching te when healthy. they have a good secondary, and their d line is decent without the injured merriman. they had a legit shot at beating the patriots last season. their only flaw right now is that they are dinged up. but anyone who believes they are the easiest team in for the steelers just is looking at records. the chargers talent wise, are on par with all the teams that had first round byes.

I like that you didn't mention coaching.

You can go ahead and bet on Norv.

Not to pick on your post, but I still don't understand why the headlines was that this was somehow manning's fault. Manning outplayed thoroughly Philip Rivers, who is supposedly the highest qb rating.

It was the defenses fault if anybodys and the fault of addai.

The Eagles are flying high at the right time. It reminds me of the NY Giants run last season. I am looking forward to next weekend's game between the Eagles and Giants. I would love nothing more for the Eagles to beat the Giants. Of course, I hate both teams since I'm a Cowboys fan...but I do want NY to get a taste of their own medicine after they beat us on our home turf first round last season. If the Eagles can win that game, then they may just go all the way. NY reminds me of Dallas last season in a lot of ways. They think that home field advantage is all that...just like we did. I want to see it backfire on them just as it did us. They have had some players talking trash at points all season long. They are cocky as hell and, hopefully, the Eagles can shut them up (especially Tuck and Jacobs). We need some birds to reign some turds on those Giants. I think NY will be fresh but they will be rusty. Put a defense like Philly's on em and see what Manning can do. Hopefully, not much. But, need to stop that run.

Except for that 40 yard run, yes they did.

I have confidence going into next week's game against the Giants. The Eagles dominated them a few weeks ago at the Meadowlands and and the Giants only beat them by 5 in their earlier meeting despite the Eagles giving up over 200 yards rushing.

Now, the Giants don't have Plaxico and I don't believe Jacobs is 100%. Say what you will about Plaxico's off the field antics but when he was one the field (and he was during that first meeting) he makes defenses plan and play differently. Now with him out of the lineup, the Eagles shouldn't have to play a safety deep and Dawkins/Mikell can play in the box and create havoc for the Giants' offense, especially the running game so another 200 yards is not given up.

The Giants defense is definitely a good one but I think the Eagles offense can matchup well against them as long as they stick to the run even if it is not working early and often just like they did in the Minnesota game. I definitely think Buckhalter needs more than 2 carries this week though and if Westbrook gets matched up on Pierce again, watch out!

Norv sure coached circles around Dungy last week.

4-2 in the playoffs is not too shabby if you ask me ... Sure is a hell of a lot better than Marty in the playoffs.

    Giants - lost regular season
    Titans - lost regular season
    Eagles - lost regular season
Cardinals - Whisenhunt is probably already gameplanning vs. the steelers right now, just in case they play in the super bowl. He and Grimm will most definitely outcoach Tomlin.
Panthers - They and the cardinals have the same type of offensive explosion that can easily blow open a game that the steelers have 'locked up'.
Baltimore - win in OT/win by a combined 7 points.
Chargers - win 18-10 with a record of 0-5 vs. playoff teams in the regular season.

Seriously, who do you think the Steelers would have the best shot at winning vs. in 1 game?

4-2, because of a 2-1 record last year and a 1-0 record this year, the guy is a perennial loser as head coach who was given the keys to a porsche (amazing coordinator though) 73-89-1

Marty was 5-13, but at least he was a pretty consistent winner. 205-139-1

Thats the key right there. Stick to the RUN. Andy gets pass happy especially if the run is not working early. The screen pass will also be key in beating the pressure the Giants like to bring.

Probably the 9-7 Cardinals who went 6-0 against the crappiest division in football and 3-7 against the rest of the NFL. The same team that ended the season in a tailspin with multiple blowout losses, went 1-4 vs. playoff teams, and 2-7 against teams with winning records. Also a team that scored fewer points than the Chargers while allowing nearly 80 more points, and outscoring their opponents by a grand total of 1 pt (427 to 426).

Too bad they won't get to play the Cardinals.
