Hope Troy isn't out for the season, but the team certainly looks like a carbon copy of 08. No rushing offense and the coordinator only taking the handcuffs off of Roethlisberger at the end of the 2nd quarter and in the 4th. (I have a love/hate relationship with Arians.)

Yeah, Arians and his playcalling can be puzzling at times. I don't envy him, though. NOBODY in this league plays like Ben. All the mind-boggling scrambling, hanging onto the ball, making something out of nothing....I would HATE to be the guy that has to "control" all that. Plus, he's got his work cut out for him. The Steelers are absolutely dreadful in short yardage situations and the running game has been a non-factor.

Personally, I think Mendenhall should get more carries. You can't tell by his statline but his lower body strength and ability to keep the piles moving forward is very impressive. Moore is a great 3rd down RB. I love Willie too but he needs to be kept on a short leash given how ineffective he's been, plus this is likely his last year in Pittsburgh anyway.

As for Troy, I just pray the football gods aren't that cruel. They stole the best player in the league away opening week of last year -- there's no need to do the same with the best defensive player in football this year.

Titans moved the ball effectively against the Steelers. Got killed by Bironas tonight. The only thing that makes me twice about the Titans winning it all is they have a history of something going wrong in close games against quality opponents. Tonight it was Bironas not making his kicks, and the defense suddenly being scared to bring pressure like they did early in the game.

According to Coach Tomlin it's an MCL sprain but obviously they're going to look at Troy's knee further in the coming days.

Helps that the O-Line didn't consistently get crushed by a 4 man rush in the 2nd half. Titans should have done some change ups, not sure why they were so passive throughout the 4th/OT. I guess the first half success spoiled them.

I would be concerned if my opponent this week didn't start Chris Johnson & Willie Parker

If Troy is out for the season, it's guaranteed the Steelers won't be a carbon copy of last year. Hopefully Tomlin's prognosis it accurate.

Our vastly improved special teams: my new mancrush Logan and the return of our punter, Sepulveda (from baylor, yo). Should let us survive until his return... assuming he's coming back.... zomg, where's some wood. must. knock. now.

P.S. I cried myself to sleep last night, when Logan didn't get a TD.

It has to make players really wonder if they want to be on the cover now. If Fitzgerald goes down, I guarantee you that the cover next year will only be the NFL logo.
