The last time I saw White (a few weeks ago) it looks like he had slimmed a bit.

I heard that also. Not sure what to think since his only value as a RB is his bulk for goal line and short-yardage situations. Hell, it's not like if he slims down he's half the runner Chris Johnson is. Should be interesting....or not, since he sucks.

Today he vowed to stomp on a Terrible Towel again just like he did last year. As if his 3 YPC killed us or something? Yeah, whatever. I can't wait!

Not really. He's a quality second running back to have.

800 yards and 15 touchdowns last season is not too shabby.

Career 3.8 YPC is nothing to write home about. The TD's are a byproduct of his size/bulk, which is why I am hoping for his sake that his "slimming down" does not serve as a detriment to his only use out there.

A goal line/short-yardage specialist is one of the best jobs in football. Sure, you take a beating fighting for every inch but you're presented with great opportunity on a silver platter. Chris Johnson is the real workhorse and star of that running game.

The reason is because of Lex Hilliard. He was a big time high school and college player in Montana. He's now a running back for Miami.

I think your blinded by the rivalry. Since you're a die-hard Steelers fan I'm guessing you were a big fan of Jerome Bettis. Everything you described in your post is basically Bettis.

    FOOTBALL IS HERE!!!

Love this time of year, College Football is a nice appetizer but the Pro Stuff is the main course!

Steelers should take this one but I think the Titans cover...close defensive games are always a blast!

    Steelers 21-17

    I ****ing hate U-verse.

They were supposed to set up my service right when I moved in on the 30th of August, I had to get one little thing corrected because the former tenants didn't turn off their DSL line and I don't get TV until the 17th.

LOL...Dude, you're better than this. You would have a point if Bettis wasn't statistically one of the best RB's ever. Bettis was a feature back. A damn good one. Fatdale is just a glorified version of T.J. Duckett.

Bettis averaged 3.9 YPC for his career. He's rushed for double digit TD's in his career just twice.

Fatdale also rushed for more TD's in a single season (last year) while NOT being a feature back.

If Fatdale were a feature back and got the bulk of the carries for the rest of his career much like Bettis than I honestly think he would finish with very similar numbers.

The similarities between the two are undeniable to me. Im just saying.....

With that said you know I like the Steelers cause of Hines Ward.

Are those maps accurate? It says in SoCal they will be showing Jets/Texans but my channel listings say it will show Indy/Jags.

    haha..

Did you see this article? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4452204

Not a big Steelers fan but ever since Air McNair left, they haven't been to likable.

Chargers will beat the Raiders 41-3. LT and Rivers 2 Td's each. :)

Not for me. It use to be Oilers and Cowboys. Now it's the Texans and Cowboys. I've had season tickets for all three teams in the past. Been watching football since the early 70's. I'm raising my kids the same way. My son wore a Romo jersey today and my daughter wore a battle red Mario jersey. They'll probably switch off next week.
