Rivers, Johnson, AND LT ughhhhh! I got beat by players like Julius Jones, John Carlson and freakin Patrick Crayton.
2 Feet down, elbow down. Ground didn't cause the ball to pop out. I still can't believe they thought it was indisputable evidence that he didn't catch it.
I'm a Chargers fan and a former High School Football official and that was the worst overturned call by an official I've ever seen. Not only did he have 2 feet down with possession, but he also had a waist down (which equals 2 feet) with possession, and an elbow down with possession. I am in utter shock that it was even reviewed let alone overturned. P.S. I would have won $1800 in Vegas if the Raiders would have won the Super Bowl the year of the "Tuck Rule". Instant replay has not been kind to that franchise.
I just watched it in slow motion. It appears to me that the ball and his elbow hit the ground at the same exact time. The ball was not covered by the arm and it cleary touches the ground. Now there may be a rule about him having possession of the ball with two hands and feet where the ball clearly breaks the plane of the endzone..before he hits the ground Then it would be a touchdown..
Chargers really really really need to throw it. Especailly to Vince Jackson. Love Raider fan in the stands. All types of gangsters.
If the receiver (in this case the Tight End) is running parallel to the throw, JaMarcus will complete the throw. If he is moving or the receiver is already past his direct perpendicular line to the endzone, he will not complete it. If the receiver is running perpendicular or at an angle, JaMarcus won't complete it. Replay that last pass to Miller.
I think part of it is 2 inexperienced rookie Wideouts, but Jamarcus has missed a lot of throw tonight. He's making Cutler's night look decent.
