Heading into the midpoint of the season now, week 9. Here are the four best match ups of the week in my opinion. 1. Dallas at Philadelphia Battle for NFC East lead and the winner could possible have a 2 game lead over the highly touted Giants if they drop one to the Chargers. Westbrook should be back and Ware is looking scary again. I think this is where Austin can shut up the doubters if he has a big game again. 2. Baltimore at Cincinnati Another game with division implications. If Baltimore wins, they tie Cincinnati's record although the Bengals own the tiebreaker with division record. If Cincinnati wins they keep their division lead over the Steelers and Ravens. I know a lot of people are high on the NFC East but the AFC North has definitely been the best division in football this year. 3. Houston at Indianapolis If Houston loses this game I think you can wrap up another division title for the Colts. If Houston wins this game they still have an outside shot at the division crown. Houston always seems to play Indianapolis close but always come up just short. We'll see what happens this week. 4. Pittsburgh at Denver I'm beginning to doubt Denver a little bit myself. A lot of there success this year has come on sheer luck. Yes, they have a good defense but their offense seems to sputter at times. A win against the Steelers could prove those who are doubting the Broncos wrong. Here are the NFL coverage maps: http://the506.com/nflmaps/
I think the Texans will give the Colts a better game than they expect. The Colts have only beat one team (Arizona) with a winning record. And AZ isn't even all that good. In fact, I'm gonna go ahead and call it. Texans win. Shock the world, baby.
Don't forget about Chargers @ Giants. This is the first time Rivers and Manning will play against each other. In essence those two were traded for one another. The previous time those two teams played Brees was still the QB for San Diego.
I've got the Chargers winning that game. Manning seems in disarray, Jacobs seems to talk more than he runs, Bradshaw is hurting, the defensive line cannot get pressure, the linebackers are slow, and the defensive backs cannot cover anybody. I just don't see this as a good of a game as the previous four.

Big week for my Texans and my Cowboys. Both teams have been playing better each week. Now to put another complete game together against division rivals won't be easy. It'll be nice if they can get wins over the Colts and Eagles respectively.
LT is tied with Marcus Allen for 3rd most receiving/rushing TD's all time. Obviously Rice and Emmitt are 1 and 2. Hopefully he passes him on Sunday vs the Giants.
So who's the better pick for FF qb this week? Rivers @ NYG ? or Hasselbeck vs Lions? I was leaning towards Hasslebeck but he's so hit or miss and the game can get out of hand pretty easily and Hawks might stick to run or insert S.Wallace. SD vs NYG should be a high scoring affair and the Giants secondary has been exposed. help......
I'd go with Rivers, actually I am going with Rivers. You can't trust Hasslebeck no matter how favorable the matchup is.
1: Think Philly can pull it off if the good Mcnabb show up 2: Cincy got'em once, why not twice 3: Staying away because of bias reasons -- GO TEXANS 4: Pitt continues to bring Denver back down to earth
They are really in a downward spiral. It's hard not to imagine the words "Los Angeles Jaguars"...especially with a new stadium coming out there.
Thanks guys, I'm going with the stud (Rivers) as well. No worse feeling than benching your stud for a favorable matchup while favorable matchup player does decent or terrible and stud player explodes for 30+ points.
There are doubters of Miles Austin? How do you accidentally have the best three game stretch for any wide receiver in NFL history? (with acknowledgment to mr fitzgerald in last years playoffs)
Good decision. Giants secondary is struggling big time. As long as C.C (Can't Cover) Brown is back there, I would go with Rivers.
