    Anybody else calling bs on Shanahan for trying to blame McNabb's benching on his fitness? Looked good all game, led the team in rushing and all of a sudden he can't cut. Things are going from bad to worse.....

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5753040

    Shanahan on Monday said McNabb has been struggling with hamstring injuries for five weeks and didn't have the "cardiovascular endurance" to stay on the field with the game on the line against Detroit. Shanahan said he even considered not playing McNabb at all against the Lions.

    Shanahan yanked McNabb for Rex Grossman with 1:50 to play in the 37-25 loss, a move than stunned the locker room and had teammates questioning the team's commitment to the six-time Pro Bowl quarterback.

    McNabb looked fine during the game and even rushed for a team-high 45 yards.

    The Patriots are the most uncelebrated 6-1 team I have ever seen.

    Which is weird, considering how much nutriding they media did on them for the past 10 years.

    Part of the reason is because nobody expected them to be this good with such a young team.

    They're also set for like the next 8 years with their draft picks in the 2011 draft.

    Brady and Belichick give them a chance every year.

    Their weakness coming into the season was their defense, primarily their secondary. I don't think anyone thought they would improve that fast considering the youth they have back there. Kudos to the Patriots and knowing how to build a winning and contending team every year. Wish the Texans would do the same.

    Too bad for Donovan, he's on a contract season right? SF if Singletary stays?

    Brad Childress should be fired right now.

    He's been a bumbling idiot for too long and has completely lost the locker room now after apparently acting on his own by cutting Moss.

    Question: Would it have been better to . . . give moss the T.O. Treatment?
    Banned formthe facilities etc for the rest of the season.

    Wow McNabb must really be in Shanahan's doghouse. If Shanahan thinks McNabb isn't in shape to run a 2-min, he's going to think McNabb is John Elway compared to JaMarcus Russell.

    @Adam_Schefter
    Sportscenter just reported, This Just in: Free-agent QB JaMarcus Russell to work out for Redskins. Fun never ends.
