Just to give you an idea how I feel right now ...

My fantasy bench is outscoring my starters by >10 points.

And I'm still holding out hope that I might win this thing -- just need Schaub to throw one more TD and Jamal Lewis to find the end zone.

On NFL Network (thanks Uverse) I just caught part of Singletary's press conference. Whoa!! Did anyone see the whole thing?

I think it might be a topic of conversation this week.

He's no Dennis Green or Jim Mora, but this will be quite memorable. "I want winners!!!"

Yeah, I guess beating you in the 4th quarter is Eli's new thing now. In any event i'm disgusted.

Ben is still better but Eli owned him today.

I thought the two best teams played today...Steelers and Giants.

I know the Titans are undefeated, but I don't expected them to stay in driver's seat as they're schedule gets much tougher in the second half of the season.

As I stated, the Steelers don't impress me.

They were missing their deep threat in Holmes and Willie Parker, but yeah their offensive line just can't give Big Ben enough time to throw. He's a statue for the most part and that guy gets KILLED week in and week out, especially against the Giants front 4, and that proved to be the difference in the game.

The Giants also got a little lucky with that long snapper getting injured and Harrison shanking that snap.

But I'm thankful since that Giants win got me a winner for my 5 team parlay.

    :)

You really think they would have made that much of a difference? At the end of the game it showed that Roethlisberger dropped back 29 times and something like 70 or percent of the time he was either hurried, knocked down, or sacked. Missing some key components on the field, the Steelers impressed me that they did hang in there so long but they need to fix that offensive line stat or they are not going to beat anybody.

I was rooting for the Steelers today, for obvious reasons, but they just failed to close it out. With the schedule they have the rest of the year they have plenty of time to show me they are real though.

Indeed, started off with that horrible roughing the passer on Matt Ryan and then ended with that horrible muffed punt call.

Yeah, that call on Trent Cole was bad but the muffed punt call was worse in my opinion because it cost Atlanta a chance to win the game and it gave the Eagles an additional score that definitely put the game out of reach.

I don't get Matt Jones. The guy waits until the last game before his inevitable suspension to play his best game of the season.

I still think this guy can be a top 10 receiver in the right system. Give him some space and play some one on one and he will dominate, like today. That one pass he caught in space in the middle he made like 3 guys missed then dragged like 4 more out of bounds.

Still a FREAK of an athlete, too bad he still plays for a bad team, albeit one of my favorite teams besides the Broncos.

Funny you bring up the injury element in a close games. This coming from the same guy who was playing his violin after Westbrook and his irrelevant 2 YPC got knocked out of Pittsburgh-Philly, telling everybody how the game wouldn't have been as close and blah blah blah.

...and don't take that as some sour grapes excuse either. Sure, the injuries change things but despite the elements they still played well enough to win and completely blew it. The Giants stepped up. They simply wanted it more and capitalized on their opportunities. Eli is a 4th quarter assassin.

Yeah but I still blame our Punt Returner, why in the hell would he not just catch the ball in that situation? He let it bounce when he waved for the fair catch at like the 30 yard line or something.

Time to cut Jennings he is one of the worst punt returners of alltime.

Nice way to disregard the rest of my post sir. Do you think that the injuries would have made that much of a difference honestly? Westbrook does make a huge impact on the offensive side of the ball but looking back, Westbrook's injury probably would not have made that big of a difference. He had a huge game yesterday and the Falcons were still close. The Eagles, who many and myself thought was one of the elite teams in the NFL, have shown that at this juncture they are not and are still having trouble on the offensive end of the ball, especially in the red zone, and they are missing certain aspects on the defensive end of the ball. The Eagles have beaten 2 teams with winning records (Steelers and Falcons) and have struggled or lost against the rest of their opposition so far sans St. Louis. They have won against opponents with a combined record of 13-16 and have lost to opponents that are 14-8. That tells me they have struggled but beaten the mediocre bunch while not beating the good teams.

The Steelers had and have some key injuries but let's not forget so do the Eagles and not just Westbrook. The Steelers have beaten one team with a winning record (Ravens) while struggling with the rest of their opposition sans Houston and Cincinnati who are a combined 3-12. They have defeated opponents with a combined 13-23 record while losing to opponents with a combined 10-4 record. That tells me the same thing it tells me about the Eagles, they can beat the mediocre while losing to the good ones in the NFL even though I have questions about how good the Eagles are.

You see the difference between you and me is, I can admit that my team may not be as good as advertised and they certainly do not look like it right now but you just can't do that for whatever reason. As soon as I or somebody criticizes them you start complaining. I even stated in my previous post that the Steelers have a chance to prove they are elite in my eyes with the rest of their schedule which is murderous minus the Cincy game and I have doubts they'll make it through and win the AFC North because of that schedule. I'll be rooting for them next Monday though.
