I never thought the Broncos were contenders. In my book, their only legit win was the opener against the Raiders. They should have lost to San Diego, New Orleans and Tampa. Their 4-3 should be 1-6 or 2-5. They are on par with the Texans, just luckier.

    Well it should be!

Homecoming '95. Met my sister and her husband in Waco to go see the A&M game the next day. Fire alarm is going off at 2:00am in the Hilton and they wake me up to send me out there to see what's going on and of course I walk out in my underwear only. Our floor is deserted, but I opened the door to the stairwell and the first thing I see is that set of eyes that scared the **** out of so many players during his 12-year playing career. I blurted out a "hello Mr. Singletary" to which he responded "hello son". One of my most treasured conversations. :D

Was that Mike Singletary in the presser or Macelus Wallace?

I hope Mike does well, he seems like a really good guy. I remember John McClain campaining for him to get the Baylor job, and I think they said he didn't have enough experience. LOL.

Jeez, I'm in the twighlight zone.........

Will Culpepper be the next QB in Kansas City?
    from Yahoo

The search for veteran quarterback has led the Kansas City Chiefs could lead the Kansas City Chiefs to sign three-time Pro Bowler Daunte Culpepper. The Chiefs talked with Culpepper on Monday, a day after they lost Brodie Croyle for the season because of torn knee ligaments. Croyle was injured in the Chiefs’ 34-10 loss to Tennessee at Arrowhead Stadium.

A decision on whether the Chiefs would sign Culpepper did not appear imminent. A deal might not come until next week if one is reached at all.

In the meantime, the Chiefs were preparing to bring former Tampa Bay quarterback Bruce Gradkowski to Kansas City today for a workout. Gradkowski played for St. Louis in a preseason game against the Chiefs in August at Arrowhead Stadium.

Coach Herm Edwards offered no information on the quarterback search other than to say the Chiefs might try to sign a veteran.

    Holy God thats terrible.

Carl Peterson should have been fired back when he decided to go with Elvis Grbac and let Rich Gannon walk.

Ah, yes of course. LOL! :D

May be he can make a comeback. It's apparent that having a Randy Moss can indeed make you a Pro Bowl caliber player. ;)

But he was so good back in 02, it was crazy. He lit up everyone. I just think the injuries slowed him down too much and he couldn't rely on his average accuracy without a Randy Moss and a spring in his step.

Didn't work for Kerry Collins, Andrew Walter, Aaron Brook, and Tuiasospo.
Up until last not, it didn't seem to be working for Matt Cassel

You realize Culipepper's career highs in a season are only trumped by Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Kurt Warner, as far as active players.

39 TDs in season is not something that common QBs do.

Randy Moss gave up on the Raiders about 8 games into his 1st season.
It would have taken a miracle for him to have regained any motivation to play.

Oakland is now a literal "black hole"
