It's cool, Bassfly. I respect your opinion even if I disagree with it. The truth is probably somewhere between the way you and I see it.

I agree, many things should be considered when judging a QB, but that doesn't happen on the interwebs.

In my mind, important things in "rating" a QB would include wins, all turnovers, 3rd down efficiency, and red zone efficiency. Would I be wrong? Would I be right? That's my point - which is why I think wins is the most important for a QB.

I'm an Atlanta fan and our defense is nothing special. We were ranked 13th in pass defense and this is who we faced up until Kolb

    Dennis Dixon
    Derek Anderson
    Drew Brees
    Alex Smith

What's your take of DRob so far, is he worth all that cash? As a Texan fan, I am curious.

Todd Collins "won" after going 6/16 for 32 yards with 0 TDs and 4 interceptions.

Sure, that's an extreme example but there are all kinds of shades of grey.

Point being, wins are clearly a team function and a QB can even be absolutely, positively horrible and win.

In the same vein, a QB can play great and lose because his defense sucks or special teams suck or his receivers suck or the playcalling sucks or a combination of those things suck, etc...

I'm not saying that wins (and losses) don't matter but I don't see how they stand above a lot of other measurements that can be used to evaluate strictly how the QB performed.

    Donny,
I know you want to act like you are the purest houston person in the world, proclaiming UH as a real BCS contender, drinking water from the Bayou, and only buying Gallery furniture and thinking Richmond street is the Champs Elysee.

but as a 99er, I think the purest Houstonian on clutch fans was FattyFatBastard. He was purer Houstonian and he didn't try as hard as you.

I've lived in Houston since 2002 and I don't think wins alone can be used to evaluate QBs!

Sorry for rippin' on your boy, tinman. Just gotta call it like I see it.

fatty would go travel to some city like new york or LA and the only reason he would post something about it was to say how much better Houston was than insert [city] he went to. he would choose the Metro bus over a Japanese bullet train. In the after life, he would choose Houston over Heaven.

Hey tinman, I know you want to act like you are the purest clutchfan person in the world, proclaiming Clutch as God of Earth, drinking Vernon Maxwell's taint sweat, and only buying furniture from the BBS classifieds and thinking the GARM is the New Yorker of Rockets talk.

but as a fellow 99er, I think you can tongue-kiss my ****hole.

that's fine, when I lived in Houston, my office was right next Houston NFL aka Bob McNair and Steve Patterson's bid to get a team after the Oilers.

that's not the team I grew up with, Warren Moon and the Oilers and the ahole owner is what I grew up with.

VY played the best freaking college football game ever and he repped Houston.
He goes to Rockets games and watched the Oilers when he grew up and went to my college. If this guy really was the 'enemy' of Houston, why on earth would he reside there?

you try pretty hard to be funny so you can be king of all rep. I get that.
However, buying furniture from the BBS classifieds makes no sense and isn't funny.

dude, the clutchfan of today doesn't know who the hell Vernon Maxwell is.

    c'mon man!

true, but those guys didn't grow up in houston and play for the university of texas which has a large alumni base in houston.

but by your definition you have to be have played ball at UH like Andre Ware or David Klingler to be a glorious houston football hero.

    aren't you from California?

tinman, if the Texans had drafted VY, would you still strictly be a Titans fan?

Same question for DD if he happens to read this.

I don't try to be anything. I type whatever pops into my ******* head and post it. I could leave this forum tomorrow and not miss any of you brainless dweebs that are below my level.

Some people call that "trying hard" some people call it "not giving a ****"

Fatty was a legend. He was a ******* moron that everybody loved to hate until they couldn't hate him enough so they loved him. Now he's trying to do the same things on facebook at 1 AM on Sunday nights and it just is a travesty. But you know, he had his chances and he kept it real to the bitter end.

What the HELL are you talking about now?

My definition? When did I define anything? I don't permanently attach my mouth to somebody's genitalia just because they did great things for some city I happen to reside in at a certain point in time. That kind of allegiance is why people end up dead in gang wars. But you wouldn't know anything about that residing in the mean streets of Austin where you have to make sure every day that nobody mean-mugs you as you walk out of Chick-Fil-A or else you'll have to pull our your piece and murder somebody, right G?

You're living in a fantasy world filled with mushroom clouds and trapezoids.

I sincerely hope some day you learn the meaning of the word "overkill"
