Starting each season 10-0.. to me, that suggests shallow leagues and/or poor competition. There is some degree of luck involved...to start every year like that is insane.
I just did better with my drafts, mixed with some luck. I only ended up winning 1 of those seasons. It's a pretty competitive league. Plus, when you have good players from good teams, your fantasy team always suffers down the stretch. I just over-thought everything this year and bought into the hype on a few guys for no apparent reason.
(that was also a factor in dealing Brady.. though a tiny one. But if they're undefeated through 13 games and have the division sealed... do they play him 1/2 or 3/4 of a game the rest of the way and let him sit? Seems possible..)
They're going for 16-0. They want to prove the cheating thing was no big deal and that they really are that good. Brady is in it until the end if they stay undefeated.
Oh man did you blow it dude. With these types of trades you can be in my league anytime. lol. It's beginning to look like I made a bad trade myself. I traded Derek Anderson for Calvin Johnson. I was hoping to capitalize on a few good games by Anderson because I figured he was just getting lucky. It's starting to look like he's the real deal though and Donovan McNabb is my starter.
Wait....you have a hunch about Reggie falling apart....so you trade him for Westbrook??? I'll leave the Brady aspect alone other than to stay you're insane. Evan
So while my first team ended up sucking (see second post in the thread) my other one did quite well. I am really starting to think that my team is unfair. I have never seen a team in a 12 person league this loaded. Starters: Brady, Benson, Peterson, TJ Houshmazoolie, Fitzgerald, Cotchery, Desmond Clark, Pats D Bench: Frank Gore, Romo, Selvin Young, Shaun McDonald, Joe Nedney I beat my opponent by 100 points this week Life is good
The AP wasn't that bad, Maroney was a Top 8 pick in most leagues and Gates has been great this season, I probably would have done it myself earlier in the season. But sorry man...you got raped in the Brady deal
I'm leading the second person in my league by 80 points, and #3 by more than 120 points. I just added Welker and Ward off waivers. I get Addai back next week to join MJD and Westbrook. Brady is my QB, and I have the Steelers defense. Life is good.
Depending on who's available, I'd say no. Henry is still playing and they still have Mike Bell. You can never trust any Denver rb not named Terrell Davis.
sitting pretty in first place. thats with peyton manning at home watching his dish, talking on his motorola. in my other league i got handed. i couldnt start a running back or a D. i picked up my first win last week, and i am back to losing. in the league where i kick ass. i have won five straight games. i beat the number 2 team, so now he is 4-2. i go to 5-1. i am the COLTS/PATRIOTS/TEXANS!
Adrian Peterson (40) and Tom Brady (33) only combined for a total of 73 points. Randy Moss had a down game, but I trounced the other team 153-42. And I still have Jeremy Shockey playing tonight
I get what you're saying...but last year he (Westbrook) only missed one game. Plus I knew I could get Buckhalter on my bench...and he actually looks solid when he gets the start in that offense. Reggie has never carried the load (and didn't even at USC obviously)...not a great runner between the tackles... and yeah, I think he'll break down. But yeah... no one likes that I dealt him. I get it. I'll check back in later in the season and see where we're at.. for now, no choice but to say "let's table the discussion"
Down 16 going into tonight with Crumpler and Ward or Norwood. A day after I started Warner over Garrard. Guess who I went with.
