San Diego was in scoring range and there was a botched fumble call that oakland returned for a TD

    How do you figure?

Aren't we all in the same conference?

It was called a fumble on the play, too close to overturn IMO.

Indisputable evidence needed to overturn a call, remember?

I expect San Diego to be competing with the Texans for a playoff spot, I don't really expect the Raiders to do the same. So I think this loss benefits us.
It was pretty clear imo. The ball flew forward 8 yards and he was in the middle of a throwing motion.

I thought the rule was the arm has to be going forward not that he has started his motion? In this case the arm had started its throwing motion but didn't yet go forward WITH the ball.

What an insane day in the NFL...

    Pack lose to Washington
    Cincy lose to TB
    Colts struggle at home
    Charger lose to the Raiders
    NO loses to Arizona

The motion of throwing a ball is almost entirely forward. The ball came out after it was in front of Rivers head and the ball flew about 8 yards forward.

This game is pretty much the most important of Kolb's career.

If he sucks it up on national TV, he may be done in Philly.

Perhaps. But this season is looking pretty wacky.

NO WAY, the ball came out while he had the ball behind his head and his motion made the ball go forward but was already loose. I'll watch the highlight again to make sure but I am almost certain the ball was already loose before his arm passed his head.

Regardless, I don't agree with the evaluation of the rulle. The process of throwing a football is almost entirely a forward moving action.

Well, it leaves both those teams at 2-3 rather than one of them being 3-2. I think that is positive

What a strange day of football.

    Oakland over SD
    Arizona over NO
Giants taking a huge dump on the Texans
Detroit ROUTING somebody let alone winning a game
Cowboys choking.....oh wait, that's not unusual

....and just think, MNF this week is going to be insane.

I must say, Kolb looked impressive on that first drive.

Yet they overturn the Gradowski fumble were it was very similar ? At least they can be fair.

Whatever. If the special teams coach isn't fired by tomorrow, I'm not watching one single Chargers game for the remainder of the season. Ridiculous.

I am getting sick and tired of watching Frank Gore tackling himself to the ground.

The Eagles are making Crabtree look like an All-Pro tonight.
