yeah, but the Giants offense isn't all that its cracked up to be. Kubiak = offensive coach, coughlin= defensive coach, it makes a difference
Sunday Night games are really just awfully boring for the most part. I think they should just do away with it altogether.
I think they've just missed badly on their scheduling this year. Why does Chicago, a 6-10 team from last year, get 2 prime-time games in a row? They should expand the flex scheduling for more of the season.
Well they were 2-0 and 3-0 going into their two games... so you can't really say they "missed", but I get your point. Some teams will ALWAYS get national TV games b/c that's just the way it is: Cowboys NY Giants Steelers Packers Then you have the historic teams that if they're anywhere close to being good, they'll get coverage: Bears Jets Eagles Dolphins 49ers For everybody else, its play well or nothign at all. This includes some high profile teams such as the Pats, Colts, Saints, Vikings. If all those teams became cellar dwellers, they'd be dropped from national TV coverage alltogether (the Pats are probably approaching the latter group status, but I still remember the total disinterest in them prior to the recent dynasty). Its annoying that no matter how bad the Cowboys are, or how seemingly mediocre the Bears and NYG are, they'll find themselves being shoved down the throats of the viewing public week after week.
Cris Collinsworth's voice is probably adding to my disdain for Sunday Night Football as well. God bless the man who invented the mute button.
Michael Vick has a rib cartilage injury, and his status is uncertain for Philadelphia's next game at San Francisco. Eagles coach Andy Reid says Vick doesn't have any broken bones, though the cartilage between his second and third rib might be cracked. Reid wouldn't rule out Vick for the 49ers' game, saying Vick's sore and will be evaluated each day. Kevin Kolb, who began the season as the Eagles' No. 1 quarterback, would start if Vick can't play. Running back LeSean McCoy did break a rib during the first half of Sunday's 17-12 loss to the Washington Redskins but played through it. His status also is uncertain. And Pro Bowl cornerback Asante Samuel and wide receiver Riley Cooper sustained concussions. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5647912 Looks like we might see Kolb in primetime next Sunday night.
I'm pretty sick and tired of the NFC East being shoved down our throats in general. Between those 4 teams, I'm guessing they take part in probably 2/3 of the nationally televised games in any given season. I understand that typically, that is a very fiery, competitive division, but give me a break. Also, on a side note, Cortland Finnegan has to be the biggest POS in the NFL. That entire organization is just plain pathetic, from the players all the way up to management. They will never win a championship as long as Bud Adams owns that team.
They should just make NBC the exclusive home of the NFC East. Thank God for flex scheduling, but they might just flex more NFC East games in. Sunday, September 12: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins Sunday, September 19: NY Giants at Indianapolis Colts Sunday, September 26: NY Jets at Miami Dolphins Sunday, October 3: Chicago Bears at NY Giants Sunday, October 10: Philadelphia Eagles at San Francisco 49ers Sunday, October 17: Indianapolis Colts at Washington Redskins Sunday, October 24: Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers Sunday, October 31: Pittsburgh Steelers at New Orleans Saints Sunday, November 7: Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers Sunday, November 14: New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers – FLEX SCHEDULE BEGINS – Sunday, November 21: NY Giants at Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, November 28: San Diego Chargers at Indianapolis Colts Sunday, December 5: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens Sunday, December 12: Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys Sunday, December 19: Green Bay Packers at New England Patriots Sunday, December 26: San Diego Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals Sunday, January 2: TBD
Out of all the flex games with a potential to change (in the Texans favor), the best chance they have is the Nov. 21st game. Texans play at NYJ. The current game is Giants vs. Philly (yes, yet another NFC east matchup). Philly's season could be in the toilet by then with no Vick, and if the Texans take care of business, they can prove they're better than the Giants by beating them this week. That being said, I doubt NBC switches out a Giants game for a Jets game.
I have a 29.1 lead on my opponent but he has Brady, Welker and Marshall while I have BJGE...this will be a LONG night.
I have Miami D, and I want to say I have a comfortable lead. However, from now on, if I'm winning and it's Monday night, and it's all over, i'm pulling my guys. That way, they can't score negative points.
i won my fantasy matchup by less than a point because of the garbage yards BJGE got at the end. man woodhead getting all those carries were pissing me off i had BJGE and he had welker going tonight and he had a 2 point lead.
His hair is awesome, why do people hate it? I wish I had Brady's hair, infact I wish I was Tom Brady. Dude's got everything
