Neither does next week's 49ers-Eagles matchup. NBC really made some questionable decisions this year by putting the Redskins on twice, the 49ers, and continuing to reward the Giants for a Super Bowl win 2 years ago, and the Bears for a Super Bowl appearance 3 years ago. Yes, I think the Texans should be on there at least once.
I don't understand how Chargers-Texans, Texans-Eagles, or even Giants-Texans doesn't make Sunday Night Football. Seriously....the nation would rather watch Giants-Bears, or Niners-Eagles?? I don't get it. On a side note, Faith Hill in that black dress makes me feel funny in my pants.
Yep... but every year, she gets more zoomed out and "airbrushed" looking. One year, they'll just go straight CGI on us. As far as the matchups go, totally agree with you. The NFL is all about watching good teams play against each other. Big markets help, but not as much as other sports (an Indianapolis-Green Bay Super Bowl would get awesome ratings, for instance).
Yeah, but he's not his big brother. One is popular enough to be on prime time every week. The other is not; though apparently the NFL wishes it so. And the Giants were SB contenders two years ago.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5644551 Titans assistant makes obscene gesture NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil expressed his anger at officials during Tennessee's game with Denver with an obscene gesture Sunday. Television cameras caught Cecil using his right hand to make the gesture when officials flagged his defense for a neutral zone infraction during the second quarter. The penalty gave Denver first-and-goal, and Kyle Orton tossed a 2-yard touchdown pass on the next play for a 7-0 lead. Cecil declined comment after the game, a 26-20 loss by the Titans despite a season-high six sacks. But they also finished the game flagged 10 times for a season-high 111 yards. Last year, Titans owner Bud Adams was fined $250,000 by the NFL for making the same gesture. Adams made the gesture repeatedly from his owner's box and on the field celebrating a win over Buffalo in November. Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan didn't see Cecil's gesture but called it awesome. "I'll let him answer how he feels about that. He's an emotional guy. We rally behind him, and he's been great to us. We've got to go out and execute his game plan and fly around. You've seen that the first four games. We respect him, and we thank him for that," Finnegan said. If Cecil is fined, Finnegan expects his teammates will help out their coordinator. "I know all the guys won't mind chipping in for our defensive coordinator," Finnegan said
Finnegan, Blount still punching people, Cecil and Bud flipping off people in public, Titans are a cesspool.
Kyle Ortons Comments After Game We were under siege maybe a little bit in the backfield, but I think for the most part we were the tougher team today. You always hear about how tough they are and all of that stuff. I don’t think they are tough. I think they are cheap and it was one of the cheapest games that I’ve ever seen out of some of those players. I thought the refs did a great job of keeping it under control, but when we’ve got Chris Kuper with his helmet off, getting punched and all of that stuff, it’s ridiculous. If that is the type of player that Cortland Finnegan wants to be, well then he is a cheap player—he is not a good player.
