My bad, I read the wrong paragraph. My apologies; I'll retract the prior statement. (With that said, you did blatantly lie, as proven on the prior page, so you should see why I jumped to that conclusion.) Anyway, you should know - if you read the prior paragraph - that the context I was speaking in was one season for a good team. I'm not trying to change anything. I think those 16 are better. With that said, with a few of them (Palmer, Romo, Flacco, Hasselbeck) the line is very close, and I could respect an argument for Favre in comparison with those. I just view Schaub as a member of the class that's a clear tier above -- that's why I speak with such conviction on that particular subject.

LOL, you know the "apology" is for a minor technicality completely unrelated to true issue/debate at hand. Anyway, I'll drop it too, but you decide how you want to play it. If you want to make a huge scene every time Favre has a great game, that's fine, but you're going to get it right back when Schaub does the equivalent. I'd much rather stop the childish bickering and evaluate this at the end of the season, per the bet. Your call.

I've missed most of it. Which side is winning?

Nothing against Vinsanity but The Cat has him cornered on this one. Vinsanity started all this by claiming The Cat "attacked" him for being a Favre supporter and implied that The Cat is some massive, irrational Favre hater when the truth appears to the opposite. Vinsanity has yet to respond to the challenge of finding a quote where The Cat says Favre isn't a good QB or wouldn't have a good season. I can vouch for this as well given that I have been front-and-center for much of the Favre bickering. He and I share differing viewpoints and have argued quite a bit, but never has he said such things. At least to me.

Buuuut, it sounds like they might be ready to drop this for the time being. My post wasn't meant to reignite the fire -- just calling it the way I see it.

BRISTOL, Conn. -- Brett Favre's matchup with his former team has attracted the largest cable television audience ever.

His Minnesota Vikings' 30-23 win over the Green Bay Packers on ESPN's "Monday Night Football" was watched by more than 21.8 million people. The previous record was more than 18.6 million viewers for last year's Monday night game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

ESPN also said Tuesday that the game drew the highest rating in the network's 30-year history. The 15.3 rating beat the 14.4 for a Bears-Vikings game on Dec. 6, 1987, during ESPN's first season of televising NFL games.
