In Vegas this weekend. Am I crazy for thinking the Cowboys are a lock? Someone gimme four bets to parlay, please. Thinking the aforementioned Cowboys and the over in the Packers/Lions game at least.
People underestimate just how bad Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh are, in my opinion. Falcons and Panthers seem like good bets to me. Texans and Colts would be my next 2. Jacksonville and Giants appears to be wretched too. Don't blame me if you lose.
Never understood the fascination with Lovie Smith as a head coach. Really glad the Texans didn't go the re-tread route.
Agreed - I have no idea if BOB will be a good coach, but I'd rather find out than go the route of recycling coaches.
Why? A lot of elite coaches don't get it until after their first jobs. Tom Coughlin, Pete Carroll, and Bill Belichick are all recycled coaches.
Coughlin was pretty successful in his first stint. The others weren't coaches for that long when they had success. I just think 10 years is enough to evaluate someone and if there's nothing that screams "greatness", you might as well try something new. That said, Lovie is not the best example - there are lots of coaches that seem to get 3 or 4 or 5 jobs instead of trying something new. Lovie may just have needed a change of scenery and to start fresh somewhere. Tampa Bay's problem is talent, so I'm not sure the coach matters that much just yet.
Saints home opener against Minny. Saints are a lock to me. Raiders traveling to NE for a noon game. NE is a lock. And then I like Indy, just cause I see no chance they start 0-3, with a loss to Jacksonville. I also like Cincy to beat Tennessee. Bengals are tough on both sides of the ball and will be able to run the ball just as effectively as Dallas, even if Green is not playing. NE, NO, CIN, IND. Make the bet, profit, give me rep when you get back!
Also, to respond to your question about Dallas. They are still the Cowboys and since Romo era has started, they have been notorious for big lets downs after a big win. They shock you one week and beat a pretty damn good team and then follow it up with a loss to someone horrible. That being said I like the Cowboys this weak, Rams do not have enough weapons on offense to keep up. But I would never bet on Dallas cause then I would have to root for them.
Beat down in Atlanta found on right now. Have Ryan on my fantasy team so i need Tampa to make it a game so he slings it.
Devin Hester's gotta be a Hall of Famer right? He hasn't done a ton outside of special teams, but he's no question the best return man in the history of the league
The Bucs are playing like slutty, gay pirates fighting with plastic swords with fake beard pasties. Oh boy. Cowboys circus is nearby with Jerry waffling.
