Beating the lions and the jaguars doesn't prove anything. Lets see vick lead the eagles against a contender.
Kolb didn't receive a bad deal. He has proven nothing in NFL. He had two good games last year at home versus a terrible Chiefs defense and average Saints defense in which they lost. He looked real bad versus the Packers before he got injured. I don't think Kolb is going to be a good NFL QB. Vick has been the best NFL QB this year so far.
A while? Vick now looks a lot like the old Vick, which means he's better than Kolb can ever dream of being.
Don't get me wrong, the move was necessary but still think he got a bit of a raw deal due to the circumstances. It sucks to lose your job because of a concussion, you never know what might have happen against a bad Lions team in week 2. Vick is playing fantastic so he HAS to start but still feel bad for Kolb.
looks better than the old Vick. Probably has a little bit to do with having some real weapons in the passing game for once. He always had the arm strength, that was never the question, it was only whether he could deliver the precision passes. Well the secondaries he's been facing the last two weeks are suspect, so I'm not ready to crown his ass yet, but still what he's doing out there is impressive, hard to see Kevin Kolb doing anywhere near it.
I would say yeah. He had 170 yards passing and 100 yards rushing playing like a half of football. Eagles had 3 points in the first half with Kolb starting.

Vick showed a lot of rust against the Packers. If he had taken the reps with the 1st team offense in the pre-season and been prepped to be the starter, they might have won. moestavern19, I think you are forgetting how good Vick was before. But if you just mean his passing, I agree with you.
He is making like $11 million dollars this year to be a backup QB and should be a free agent next year depending on the new CBA. He will get his chance to start next year. There are many terrible starting QBs in the league and he will get the opportunity to run some team. If Vick continues to play at this level, no way the Eagles let him go so I think they will franchise Kolb and trade him.

I am with moes, I am not ready to crown Vick yet but what he is and has been doing out there so far has been nothing short of impressive. After this week, the Eagles play some very good defenses coming up.
