Neither do most nfl qb not named brett farve. I am surprised only the eagles would take a chance on him. I mean he may not have been a great QB, but he could win and he took his team to the nfc championship game, and he beat GB in Gb. NDo I think matt ryan is going to be able to do the same thing? I don't know.
Vince's play-making ability at UT rivaled Vick's at Va Tech in a lot of ways. The difference was Vick could still outrun linebackers in the NFL.
True to an extent. VY was pretty bad in terms of interceptions his first two years in the league, didn't play his third and had only 7 interceptions all last year. He made only 2 interceptions so far this year in a span of 3 drives so I think he is definitely turning the tide.
Please continue this useless quibbling over a quarterback that no one outside of Texas or Tennessee cares about in his thread. I love to read it. Jets defense not impressing tonight. (Cromartie is still a tool.)
100% agree. VY doesn't have 1/3 the talent Vick has. Whatever VY can do, Vick has done (and apparently can do) better. Much better.

I disagree - they are totally different players with different styles. They are both black and both run a lot, so they always get tied together in comparisons, but they really aren't similar at all. Vick is clearly the better NFL player right now. He also has many more years of experience. He'll also be the better runner because of pure speed. Vince's strength running is that he's deceptively fast and very elusive - people take wrong angles to him and he manages to avoid lots of tacklers that way (both in college and the NFL). Vick just flat outruns people. Vick also has the stronger arm - Vince was never much of a deep ball thrower even in college. What Vince does better - or did in college - is manage the pocket much better. He has more "traditional QB" tool than Vick like avoiding the rush but still looking downfield, making the quality short/medium throws, etc. He led the nation in pass efficiency, so he wasn't just a running QB. But he's also not and never will be a brilliant pure pocket passer - he basically uses his mobility to make passing easier for him and to escape out of busted plays. Vick uses his mobility primarily to gain yardage on the ground. Vince still has a lot of work to do to make it work consistently in the NFL, but it's simply a totally different style than what Vick does.
I really thought Sanchez would be the Jets downfall this season but he has made some big boy throws in the last two games. If the Jets find an Offense with that Defense...WOW.
Miami is playing much better in this situation than they used to. (though Brown really should have found a way to get out of bounds there)
Forget college. VY was a much better college player than Vick and it wasn't close. But the NFL is all I'm talking about. There isn't anything VY does as good as Vick. Vick is a accomplished player; VY is what he is. When it comes to running specifically Vick is MUCH more elusive than VY and people take wrong angles on him also. It isn't true just to say he has pure speed and "outruns people". Vick can also turn on a dime, which is what makes him really special. He is a freak athlete.
vince young is an average football player at best; a game-manager on a good team if he can start. vick is a game-changer.
