Haha. Beef. It's what's for dinner. Mmmmmm... beef. Hey, I like talking sports... even when it's with someone that knows much more than me... there are just hunches, surprises, upsets, etc., that we should take into consideration. These are difficult to call, but it doesn't hurt to make it interesting by thinking about the "what ifs." Why don't you answer your own questions, Pun? Let's see what say you.
Swoly, I have no idea why you started talking about fantasy football in the midst of a discussion about whether Mario Manningham will emerge as a go-to receiver.
Well I'm ready to see if the Falcons have taken the next step this weekend. I have faith but I may also dress in all black for this one.
Oh, that...? I only saw the video of the Fantasy "Sits and Benches" about Receivers on that Yahoo! video after I responded that he wasn't going to be the "GO-TO" guy to Pun's question... it was about Fantasy and mostly talked about Mario. I didn't mean to make this a fantasy vs. reality thing, sir. Sorry . I think he's already good, though, don't misunderstand me.
Surprisingly I made it to the 4th quarter before shutting off the Browns game and yelling loud obscenities at little children in disgust last week. We play the Ravens this week, so the under/over is 5 minutes before I go to the pet store and yell at puppies.
Besides seeing a Texans win, I hope the Jets pound the Titans into oblivion. I think we exposed Kerry Collins and their weak secondary. Rex Ryan will do it even more- especially when it comes to making Kerry Collins look like he should've retired 5 years ago.
I am taking the Jets to win against the Titans. Yes, I now its a trap game but my judgement is almost always right when I pick the team with a better defense. The Jets 4-6 scheme looks scary, they can rush the passer with 3 guys, they have the monster Jenkins at nose tackle who can just punch through OTs. Plus Jets have excellent coverage with Shepheard and Revis as the best CB tandem in the league. I don't think Johnson will have the same impact against the Jets' frontline like what he did to Houston. Now without a running game, the Titans have no shot. Kerry Collins isn't Matt Schaub ( ) and they don't have the best receiver in the league AJ. So look for the Jets to bring everyone to the line and just make Collins beat them with his arm. Good luck with that old man! Also the more the Jets win, the better it looks on us to lose a game to a top ranked team.
The Jets D is getting a lot of hype right now. I think the Titans are more hungry for the win right now though, their backs are against the wall while the Jets might start drinking their own koolaid a little bit. Sanchez has yet to face a secondary as stingy as the Titans.
I believe they were close to the NFL lead in takeaways last season. Who knows, they could suck this year.
The Texans got gashed by Chris Johnson all game long and still won that game because nobody could get to Schauber. Losing Haynesworth might have been a bigger blow than people think.
Titans secondary is very overrated, and their new DC is already getting flack for soft coverage schemes.
Yeah they were soft as vanilla vs the Texans. Vanden Bosch, Kearse getting no pressure, Finnegan might be overrated, but Darrelle Revis I think is the 2nd best CB in the league right now. Shut down Andre Johnson and Randy Moss in the first 2 weeks of the season.
Naw he is the best corner in the game. The Titans secondary is really bad. Line isn't getting any pressure on the QB and they have been exposed so far. Titans will be amped up but Jets win at home.
I don't think he's Asomugha status yet. When teams stop throwing at him entirely, he will be the best in the game. Only Deion got that kind of respect.
