Isn't there a camera that is set right on the line? Seems like we used to see those views all the time.
why did they down it there? run a running play, and then call time out. kick the field goal, game over.
That kick tipped number 91s lower arm on the way through...luck was on the Saints side all night long. DD
It was tipped. I think the rotation of the ball changed slightly after it hit a 49ers' hand. Lucky Saints.
I think the rules for catching a pass and having possession are different when it comes to TDs. It's not cut and dry like running the ball in, where you just have to push the ball past the goalline. Otherwise Calvin Johnson would've won the game last week. Davis didn't have both feet down with the ball past the goalline, so, I think the officials got the call wrong. If that were a run play, it would've been the right call though. (i.e. David Carr leaping the ball over the goal line but never getting his feet down)
That last fg by NOLA won me both of my fantasy games by 1.5 pts....that angle was horrible, thought for sure he missed it on the block....what an ending
It's kinda weird how winning a Super Bowl can completely change your perceptions of things. A year ago Id be absolutely thrilled to see the Saints win a close, tough road game like this, now Im more relieved than anything to have not lost. Im not used to having such high expectations and expecting to dominate probable division winners at their place. Oh well, it still feels fantastic to be 2-0.
