I think this is gonna be a more standard variety beat-down.

Just one of those scheduling quirks. The two teams have met eight times previously and all eight games have been in Tampa.

Now that the NFL has a regular schedule rotation, every team will visit every other team at least once every eight years.

Are there any Saints fans here? Does anybody know what's going on with their RB situation? I picked up Mike Bell last week after he thrashed the Lions, but I just read Pierre Thomas is supposedly playing this week. We all know Reggie is just a glorified pass catcher so i'm not worried about him -- what gives with Bell vs. Thomas?

Same with Denver. Any Broncos fans care to elaborate on what's going on with Knowshon Moreno?

Thomas is not 100% and is not a guarantee to play Sunday. The way Bell played against the Lions I don't think the Saints will be in any rush to bring Thomas in. We should find out more today.

I love how nobody is giving the Eagles a chance this weekend. Everything I have watched and read indicates people think this is another Detroit defense they're going up against. The Saints could win as a hurt McNabb or putrid Kolb could give their defense an advantage but that Eagles D is stout. We'll see what happens....

The Texans are my team...but the Saints and Patriots have always been teams I've rooted for since I was a little kid.

Thomas will get the bulk of the carries, particularly around the goal line.

    Thanks, MadMax and Lil Pun.

I'm just going to bench Bell and see how things play out. Given that Philly is a quality defense it should give everybody a nice barometer for how things are looking to play out in New Orleans.

Still waiting to see if Knowshon Moreno is the real deal. I drafted him rather early so it was sort of a "risk" on my part.

Moreno is a great start this week on account that the Browns run defense is horrible.

He's also probable. I actually have to pick between Reggie, Moreno and Holt.

I'm not so sure about this one. I hope so but NY is good. If Dallas lets Jacobs and Bradshaw run all over them like Williams and Ward did last week it could be a long game.

I do think Romo is going to have some success against the Giants secondary but I wouldn't expect 3 over 50 TD passes again in one game.

Barber and Jones need to get positive yards on 1 & 2 to keep Romo from feeling like he was to push it to get things done. He's much better when he waits for the D to be set up and make a mistake on a play and striking then opposed to when he feels like he has to get it all done himself.

All that said I predict Cowboys 24 Giants 21

On the Texans game I'm even more worried. The offense looked horrible last week and they couldn't run or throw the ball because they couldn't control the line of scrimmage. I wouldn't expect this should change against the Titans so it could be a long day for Schab and Slaton.

I think the D may do all right if they can slow down the Titans running game. Once again I think this depends on who is controlling the line of scrimmage. I'd like to see better linebacker and secondary play also.

My prediction in this one is Houston 17 Tennessee 28

The third game I'd like to see is Saints v Eagles.

Should be a good game all around. I'm pulling for a score of Saints 31 Eagles 17 with the question mark on the Eagles QB situation this week. If Donovan was healthy I think the Eagles have a much better chance of winning this one.

I cannot wait to see the Raiders new and improved D-line eat the Chiefs for breakfast.

Going to be a brutal offensive game, but all Jamarcus should have to do is hand off.

Which 2 RBs should I start?

    Matt Forte (CHI) vs Pittsburgh
Ray Rice (BAL) vs San Diego
Fred Jackson (BUF) vs Tampa Bay
    Knowshon Moreno (DEN) vs Cleveland

I like Forte even against Pittsburgh, and if hard-pressed I'm probably going to stick with Ray Rice vs a San Diego Defense that is a bit softer without Jamal Williams.

Great lineup on TV today. Pittsburgh at Chicago is the doubleheader game on CBS and the Giants open up the Cowboys' new stadium tonight.

For some reason, my U-Verse guide no longer lists which late afternoon game is on Fox.

I hope so. My wife picked up Michael Bush and is starting him over Larry Johnson this week. She will be pissed at me if I was wrong in telling her to do so.

Exactly 17 years ago to the day the Bengals visited Lambeau Field to play the Packers. Don "Majik Man" Majkowski tore a ligament in his ankle that day. The Packers backup QB, Brett Something-or-another, led the team to a come-from-behind victory. Not sure whatever happened to him. :p
