Broncos suck at life, they don't deserve to make the playoffs, I'll need a new team to root for in the playoffs. Someone should rep me to make me feel better.
Ball games in Oakland and Denver. Everything comes down to Cincinnati at the Jets. The only hope I have is the Jets are one of the most hard luck franchise in NFL history. If anybody can blow it the Jets can. It would be fitting for them to waste the win at Indy with a loss today at home with their fans booing them off the field. But it won't happen. The Bengals don't have anything to play for. They will lay down and die and not even the Jets can lose this game.
Mark my words, Saints and Colts are going to regret mailing it in the last month of the reg season. Playoffs are always about carrying momentum at the right time. Just look at the 2008 Titans and Panthers. The non bye teams are playing bloody physical games just to get in, like what we saw between Houston and New England, it was a playoff atmosphere. Each team was battling to win the game. That's the kind of stuff that can give a team the menta edgel over the course of 2-3 games in late January while the top seeds sit and wait like ducks with a bulleye on their head.
In all fairness, who would have thought the Broncos defense would give up over 300 yards rushing? Who thought the Chiefs had a chance even with Marshall on the bench? It was a big miscalculation by McDaniels no doubt. It must have destroyed the moral of the entire team and made Orton snap back into his normal form with the two pick-6s. A 6-0 start by the Broncos was totally wasted and their season comes to a crashing end in the worst possible way. And a shout out to Landlord Landry. I don't really know if you dislike the Broncos any more than the Raiders or Chargers, but it's a nice way to end your season.
What about 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers...2007 Green Bay Packers (until that last interception at the end) ... 2006 Chicago Bears...2005 Seattle Seahawks...2004 Patriots and Eagles? The HF teams have a better shot at the Super Bowl, and only recently have wild card teams shown good success in the playoffs. More times than not, most wild card teams are done the next week, as most #1 and #2 seed over the course of NFL history have reached the title game more times than not.
Marshall is their best player on O. Without him their O is not good. Coaches in the pro level are pretty much highly paid babysitters. McDaniels screwed up.
I don't agree with this about NFL coaches, thought that is a small part of the job. I think it's more descriptive of MLB managers.
A Tale of Two Cities: Denver: Mile High Crash! 6-0 then 2-8 and ending at 8-8. Tennessee: Return of Vinceanity! 0-6 then 8-2 and ending at 8-8. Who would have thought these two teams would have identical records at the end? Just goes to show you nothing is for sure in the NFL.
Yeah I think Houston is a better team than the Jets so I would guess a Bengals fan would want to play New York Rex's.
