Good comparison except Parcells didn't turn into a neurotic psychopath after winning a championship. It looks like hitting the bottom so hard beat some sense back into LB. I betcha Parcells ends up staying in Miami.
Because Parcells was already a neurotic psychopath before winning 2 SBs? LB and Parcells are the same type of coaches, rigid taskmasters with large egos who have the my way or the highway atititude (or LB's "do it the right way" slogan), the vagabond up and out from a current team at a given notice is just the obvious similarity. But yeah LB chose some bad situations to be in (what was he thinking with the Knicks?) while Parcells has been more prudent with his choices. Then again turning around the Dolphins is just more ammo that Parcells is one of the greatest minds in football, nevermind he's a pompous dick.
no doubt, and the passes were floated in browns directions, but he a) had to catch them, and b) something many forget, he had a HUGE nfc title game against the packers.
What sets LB apart was his talks with the Cavs while coaching the Pistons in the playoffs followed by his nuclear meltdown with the Knicks. Both guys are jerks but Parcells never lost control of himself the way LB did. I really believe LB was out of touch with reality. I've never seen anyone get corrupted so fast by winning championship. Back to topic.
I don't care what Jerry Jones says about the staff after this game but this team needs a change. This is silly how the teams does not seem inspired for a game of this magnitude. Don't get me wrong, the Eagles are a good team and are playing a good game but the 'Boys should be showing a better effort.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who saw that chick get high fived in the face after the touchdown in the Dallas game
So how's that Pacman Jones acquisition working out for ya, Jerry Jones? Best football day of the season so far. Heh.
He yaps about not getting the ball and then he plays like this in an elimination game. What a loser. Which means he fits right in with this Cowboys team.
who gets to wear this sig? Fly Eagles Fly, On The Road To Victory. Fight Eagles Fight, Score A Touchdown 1-2-3. Hit 'Em Low. Hit 'Em High. And We'll Watch Our Eagles Fly. Fly Eagles Fly, On The Road To Victory. E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES! any halftime speech to the team, short of these, will not be enough. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/m_N1OjGhIFc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/m_N1OjGhIFc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Qwq7BYOnDrM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Qwq7BYOnDrM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Carr actually looked pretty good against a decent Minnesota defense playing for something. At the very least, he remains a backup for the rest of his career... as opposed to out of the league, which was a very likely scenario after he left Houston and Carolina. He's also got one leg up on Tim Couch in the "biggest #1 QB busts ever".
