That would happen. It is amazingly complex at this point for each team. So many scenarios that could play out over these last two weeks.
If the Titans are 9-7, the Texans are done, no questions asked. And they play a Seattle team the last weekend so bad that Tampa Bay just blew them out at home. That Titans game yesterday stings bad, particularly considering it came courtesy of a blown call. Quite simply, if Tennessee wins on Friday, it's over for the Texans.
on the spearing call in the titans game, was the play already blown dead, because I seem to remember another player touching griffen? basically that's own the dolphins, if you know a player is trying to go down, just touch him
The Titans and Texans could both make it on a technical standpoint. If three teams finish 9-7, the Texans can't make it.
Bingo! 4-1 vs the Colts since 2005, 2-0 in the playoffs. See you in the playoffs Mr. Manning. Btw thank you Oakland for another divison title.
I don't think it was blown dead, refs are usually 50/50 about ending plays safely. It wasn't even a spear, he already had his hands on him and shifted his weight, pushing him down a little. Way too overblown to cost them the 15 yards and basically the game. Theyre talking on NFL live about a "schism" between Favre and Childress. It's not Childress' team anymore if Brett calls him Brad in the post game conference right?
Its really weird to think we have a legit shot at climbing out of "terrible" and back up into "mediocre" given how bad the offense has been. a 6-10 finish would be pretty tremendous. The real head-scratcher is how we can beat playoff teams and get crushed by everyone else.
Cable is an idiot sometimes, and his personal life is sketchy to say the least... but it seems every once in a while he gets results.
Thanks for the head's up but i'm not so sure that helps much. People around these parts seem to be singing a different tune. A 'for instance' that has me totally perplexed: on the playoff simulator I have the Texans and Steelers both winning out. I also have Denver splitting their final two games thus making all three teams 9-7. According to the simulator Denver gets the nod over both Hou/Pitt even though the Steelers absolutely pimp slapped Denver earlier this season. Is this a scenario where head-to-heads go out the window and other areas are emphasized instead?
Kindly note, that if 3 or more teams have identical records, then head to head results are irrelevant, hence the Denver vs Pittsburgh result remains the same as well.
That's what I figured. That one would be tough to swallow if it played out that way but I guess Houston gets screwed if you don't do it that way.
