Shanahan never should have been hired by the Redskins. His last few years in Denver showed the game had passed him by and it looked like more of the same in Washington until RG3 came along. Regarding RG3's attitude, a lot of the blame has to be on Dan Snyder. Read this. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...-snyder-relationship-report-article-1.1541481 Of course, RG3 is a mature adult and it's his responsibility to be grounded regardless of the situation he's in. But if Snyder continues to maintain a direct relationship with him that undermines the head coach's authority, it ain't gonna work. It's hard for a player to tell the owner "get lost" and let me play football. Hopefully RG3 has enough self-awareness to see where this is headed.
The Seahawks DBs are good, but they are made much better with the amount of grabbing they are allowed to get away with. The refs would have ran out of flags for the amount they would have given Kareem on those same plays the Seahawks have.
For $7M a year, people allow a lot of their pride to be stomped on. Snyder loves RGIII; Snyder is a meddler; Snyder is unprofessional; Snyder hates almost everyone...that's what you expect when you accept the Redskins coaching job.

Amazing how good/bad some of these teams are home and way. Seattle/New Orleans = nearly unbeatable at home. On the road? Meh, just another team.
Using that kind of reasoning, there is no chance of success in Washington because they will only hire a coach whose primary concern is money and job title.
That's how a big portion of the Redskins fan base feels....Skins aren't going to succeed while Snyder owns the team. When he had Vinny as his puppet, things were an absolute joke. At least under Shanny, while there's still losing overall, there's a better sense of professionalism around...but Snyder is still leaving putting his face in everything.
I wish McNair would interview Briles, but Uncle Bob has high standards. Only battle fighters with NFL experience need apply!
