Be honest, how many of you thought the titans were done. I sure did. I thought they were done on the first 4th down. Then on the second 4th down and then I was hopefully for the td he'd get it done, but I just couldn't see it happening and then BOOM! VY is a cool customer.
don't feed the troll, y'all. food for thought: - the only difference between 0-6 and 5-0 is VY - houston texannes: 5-6, tennessee vinces: 5-6... except TEN spotted HOU 6 games of a head start.
Vince is just awesome, he just flat out wins......the team believes in him, and he delivers. The only thing wrong with the Titans is Fisher must be kicking himself for waiting so long to play him..... DD
Jacksonville lost. If the Texans won, we could have had the same record. Now the Titans have the same record as Houston. The Titans were 0-6, but they weren't bad. (except that one snowy day) Same with Denver, they were 5-0 or whatever. Worse 5-0 team ever. Atleast the fantasy squad is looking ok. Ohhhh. I have no rooting interest in any teams also. Spoiler I'M BULL ****TING ALL OF YOU!
Dakota, I think a QB change helped the psyche more than it did anything else. Actually after last year's demoralizing lost to the ravens in the playoffs I felt that the titans were going to come out of the gate struggling. That's exactly what happened. Look at the loses this year, the titans were reliving the ravens lose, week after week, meaning they were beating themselves.
You're the definition of a bandwagon fan my friend. Vince is special? In his 4 prior starts, he had 3 TD's while averaging 155 passing yards per game. The correct thing to say is that CHRIS JOHNSON is special. He tied a NFL record today by rushing for 125+ yards in six straight games.
DD saying Vince Young is special!!!! LOL!!!! He's acting like he's becoming the next Peyton Manning, lol!!!!
At 5-6, the Titans season rests on beating the Colts next week. If they win, a 10-6 finish is quite possible because of their remaining schedule.
Dude, shut up, the guy passed for 387 yards, then led an Elway-esque 99 yard TD drive, converting on 4th and goal, to win the game. Love him or hate him - a very inauspicious day to be a Vince hater. There's no question that he has played very well this season and has made quite a bit of progress.
He just wins remember ? Like in week 1 of last season when he threw for a staggering 110 yards, 1 TD, 2 picks.. BUT THEY WON!! He also got benched and they won 12 more games without him. Anyways, I'm a Texas fan but I'm not rooting hard for any Titans player. Like I mentioned, I'm glad to see that he's a serviceable QB again. Not worth the money of course but it is what it is.
If they go 10-6 Vince is Comeback player of the year Rocket River Surprise Fisher let Young pass so much
I'm a huge UT fan. I have no reason to hate him. But what perplexes me is that VY is getting all the love when it's really Chris Johnson we should be discussing. Like Dada likes to say, he has been average at best before todays game. LOL at you for stating that he has played very well this season. Stats don't lie Dude.
If I'm not mistaken, Chris Johnson has played on the Texans for all 6 of their losses...also, you do know that Chris Johnson had 0 yards on that 99 yard drive, right Oh, and if you think he hasn't played very well, he is the best running QB in the league and his QB rating is probably up in the 90's after today - not really sure what your definition of "play[ing] very well" is, but for me that's it. He's not the kind of guy who is going to throw 60 times for 500 yards, but he'll complete most of his passes, limit his mistakes, run for a lot of yards and force the defense to respect the run, and on occasion, like today, burn people deep when he has to. For me, that is "very well". PS I'm not a Titans fan, just calling it as I see it.
That drive was nuts. VY also seems to have grown up a lot. Next week will tell the Titans a lot about themselves.
LOL - bandwagon.....yeah whatever. I was an Oiler fan for more than 30 years, but once they left, I no longer cared about pro football as much. Now I watch the games more for individual players...... And Vince is special, don't hate because he is not on your team, and his team is always above yours in the standings. Should have drafted him.....though Mario is good too. DD
I don't think anyone questions that Chris Johnson is the best player on the Titans, but the fact is they went 0-6 without Vince and 5-0 with him. That is worthy of endless discussion. The fact that Vince had career day along with the dramatic 99-yard drive to close the game just magnifies things. Did you miss the earlier thread on who the best running back in the NFL was? Chris Johnson dominated that discussion. Like you said, stats don't lie: 0-6 & 5-0. And I'm not a VY homer by any stretch of the imagination. Next week in Indy should be telling.
Vince is coming into his own....if he keeps it up, he will be really special. He might have taken 2.5 years to get there, but it will be worth it...now that he is there. DD
