Don't forget about the McNabb situation. We will hear about Brett and Donovan all week, especially if Donovan is benched Thursday against the Cardinals.
Better than hearing about the t*** being undefeated. ....ofcourse I don't watch SC or ESPN for that matter.
Not only do I think he should start, I think Andy Reid should be fired and McNabb should be kept next season although it will probably be vice versa.
this is the first year i can remember that there is a real chance of an all new york super bowl. wouldn't you guys love that?
New Jersey Jets and New Jersey Giants...but Jersey doesn't get any credit for the Super Bowls. If those teams win, they are New York, if they lose they are New Jersey....
Good day for former Miners yesterday: Quintin Demps - 100 yard KO return for a TD for the Geagles Johnnie Lee Higgins - 89 yard punt return for a TD for the Raiders Thomas Howard - 8 tackles and an INT for the Raiders
I was wondering why JLH didn't pull out the backflip last week when he finally took one to the house. He finally did this week, but he didn't quite land it. Jon Alston running down the field blocking for him with his helmet in his hand was awesome.
New Orleans Saints with Reggie Bush: 3-4, 25.5 points per game New Orleans Saints without Reggie Bush: 3-1, 34.5 points per game That includes 51 points last night against the top-ranked pass D in the NFL. Now that Bush is out, Drew Brees has (surprise, surprise) actually found other football players capable of catching eight-yard dumpoffs. Stunning, I know. Brees is far and away the best QB in the game right now, and he's been that way for much of the past three years (in the NFC at least). Unfortunately, it's taken an injury to ESPN's crush for him to finally start to get his due. If the Saints make the playoffs, Brees should be the MVP, hands down.
So Cat, would you take Brees over Manning#1 and Giselle's BF? I could see a good argument with Brees, since he doesn't have the same kind of receivers or decent defenses.
I wouldn't take him over Brady, but I wasn't counting Brady this year because of the injury. I'd take him over Manning right now, because Peyton hasn't quite been himself this year. Not sure if it's the injury or what -- he's still good, but he hasn't been great. Brees is on pace to throw for the most yards in a single season in NFL history, and he's doing it with a QB rating of 100 to go along with it. Simply remarkable. And like you said, his weapons are pedestrian.
