Brady shouldn't see the ball again, unless the Giants screw up this clock situation like they did in the game against the Cowboys.
That wasn't a TD... but probably the right way to make the call as if they called it incomplete, its not automatically reviewed as we're not within 2 minutes yet. I'd rather the NFL get rid of the "only scoring plays" can be reviewed, and just make it that any possible scoring play could be reviewed.
Yep Giants didn't even attempt to run/ shorten time, that was not a catch by the way NFL is ruling catches these days.
Its been clock mis-management ever since they got in the red zone. Even the pass they completed to get 1st and goal was not really all that valuable because it was on the sidelines and they were forced to stop the clock once the WR went OOB. Once you get in the red zone, you have to presume a FG is going to be made... and any additional yardage is only a marginal chance of improving that FG make. At that point, its all about the clock... and devising a way to take as much time off.... and ensuring they force New England to use all their timeouts.
Giants / Pats is a very unique rivalry, even regular season games go down to the wire with great theatre.
After the 1st and goal, Giants should have run the ball. Worst case, they could have taken the clock down to ~1 min and kicked a FG. Or they could have scored a TD and kicked off with almost 2 mins left. Instead, they kick a FG AND leave the 2 mins. They deserve to lose.
If they did it right since that Harris first down, they could have given the ball back to the Pats with like 20s left.
Is it just me or did Collins even need to land backwards that way on his intercepting arm? It looked like he was jumping straight backwards.
Yeah... Coughlin and Eli apparently struggles with basic math and probabilities. In fact, a lot of NFL coaches do. They should really employ somebody who can appropriately crunch all the scenarios and advise correctly.... most above average fans (or avid Madden players) have that ability.
Well, took the Pats a full 1:30+ to drive only to the 38.... would have been amazing to see what they could have done with just 30 seconds left.
