Apparently, one way or the other that challenge was huge. Since he made it and was successful that led to a Giants TD and lead and it looks like they're about to go up by 10. The Eagles playoff hopes are slowly fading away, especially with the emergence of the NFC South.
Brandon Jacobs is just a behemoth. I would not want to be a safety who encountered that man with a full head of steam. You better get low... wayyyyyyyy low.
Exactly. Dude can be the worst playcaller, challenger, clock, manager etc. quite often. It get very, very frustrating.
Eagles still have a slight chance but the way they have been gashed by the Giants running game, I don't know if they can pull anything out. Those challenges look a little more awful now.
Ward was clearly down there... if Coughlin had challenged they would have had a first down on the penalty.
You know how some people say you cannot blame coaches for the team losing? I believe you can blame Reid for a lot of the Eagles woes over his tenure in Philly.
Some coaches get so caught up in gameplan and Xs and Os they forget how to manage the game. Gruden did that a lot in his early years in Oakland. He could draw up 100 plays in one night and then make some truly terrible decisions.
Well in ten years with Philly, Reid is still not grasping the concept of how to properly manage a game. Wasted two challenges and timeouts, has Westbrook run the ball when that is a weakness of the Eagles this season, doesn't put it in McNabb's hand who probably could have ran or completed a pass with one of those two plays. I can point to a number of things in the 4 losses and 5 wins this team has that Reid just blew it. Ugh.
Phew. Now I just need the Cardinals to cover the spread tomorrow to finally hit on one of my parlays.
Thank you Eagles for ruining my perfect week in my pick em league. I had all the games right unitl the eagles game.
