Lol funny tweet. These teams suck....wonder if the cowboys will get any points on this third turnover.
i dont think so...his salary was too much for the Texans to be able to just pick him up... Secondly, the Niners are gonna have a really hard time paying folks; they have flat out studs all over the field and they just seem 2 deep for every position...Remember that Crabtree and manningham are both not gonna be available for a while...
Garret looks like he has nothing to do; he has been looking into the middle distance for half the qtr.. if he isnt doing the play calling what does he do?
How much is Romo worth? How much is Matt Ryan worth? Is Flacco really worth the contract he just signed? Is every veteran starting QB who hasn't won a Super Bowl overpaid? What's the market for Rothlesberger now that his team's overall talent is no longer Super Bowl contending? In this league, you find a QB you can win with... and you end up having to pay for him if you want him to stick around. Schaub has led this team to fairly consistent offensive production, and more importantly, wins. Is he giving the same value as Kaepernick? Hell no... nobody in the league is.
He's supposed to do what Jack Pardee used to do. What Bill Cowher used to do. What John Harbaugh currently does.
Ok.. what did they do? I'm obliviously not a huge football aficionado like yourself, but I assume they did something else besides just be the head coach.
Yet tomorrow this will be the game that ESPN slobbers over. Acting if this is a potential NFC championship match up or something.
Really dont understand why this was the night game...gross...should've put the Packers Niners game for now...
They're ultimately responsible for everything... but yeah, if you're not a head coach calling the plays, the amount of actual in-game coaching you do can be minimal. Most of the work of the HC is in the days leading up to the game (deciding who to start/sit, who's inactive, approval of certain packages/schemes/gameplans, etc.) Coughlin doesn't call the plays... but you certainly see him heavily involved with what his team is doing. Same went for Parcells. Then you get into the misc. things... like deciding whether or not to go for it on 4th down, deciding when to challenge a replay, pre-game/half-time/post-game speeches.
