So - The boville 13-5 New York Jets will battle their Green Counterparts the Zac_D 14-4 Philadelphia Eagles for the Lombardi Trophy in 2004. Scouting Report - The Super Bowl should be a good matchup this year like it has been in the past. The Eagles rely heavily on their Offense and Run Defense. Defending the Pass was the only hard thing for the Eagles this year as they ranked 30th in the league. Duce Staley's 22 TDs in the regular season is no fluke, This guy can get to the End Zone in a hurry. On The passing end - Young Guns Freddie Mitchell and Marquis Walker the starters at WR but McNabb likes to spread the ball around to TE Chad Lewis and Duce Staley. Todd Pinkston and James Thrash only caught 33 catches combined this year but they still are a threat around the red zone. The Jets are a more balanced team even though they rely on a great Defense. Ranked #1 in the NFL against stopping the Run, this team can shut you down easily. On offense - the Jets key is Running game, Chad Pennington did a great job on Offense filling in for injured QB Joey Harrington for weeks 2-12. Despite boasting better numbers - the team will look to let Harrington win the Super Bowl for them. The Jets Rushing success is not all Curtis Martin, Youngster LaMont Jordan rushed for nearly 600 yards and FB Jermaine Rucker added 300 more. Passing Wise - The Jets Best WR was David Terrell who put up 42 catches for 607 yards and 8 TDs. TE Anthony Becht was the teams leader in catches and yards. Terrell has shined in the Playoffs.
