What exactly is there to be cautious about? Worst case, you had some misinformation and discussed an incorrect schedule for 6 hours.

Looks very tough but a couple of injuries here or there and it gets a lot easier. I can see 10-6 but I can also see...8-8
Sun. 12 COLTS 12:00 PM CBS Sun. 19 @ Redskins 3:15 PM CBS Sun. 26 COWBOYS 12:00 PM FOX Sun. 3 @ Raiders 3:05 PM CBS Sun. 10 GIANTS 12:00 PM FOX Sun. 17 CHIEFS 12:00 PM CBS BYE Mon. 1 @ Colts 7:30 PM ESPN Sun. 7 CHARGERS 12:00 PM CBS Sun. 14 @ Jaguars 12:00 PM CBS Sun. 21 @ Jets 12:00 PM CBS Sun. 28 TITANS 12:00 PM CBS Thu. 2 @ Eagles 7:20 PM NFL Network Mon. 13 RAVENS 7:30 PM ESPN Sun. 19 @ Titans 12:00 PM CBS Sun. 26 @ Broncos 3:05 PM CBS Sun. 2 JAGUARS 12:00 PM CBS Blue Games: This is a fairly decent way to start. Catch the Colts early in the year, hope you can surprise them, because you don't want to face them by week 3-4 after they've gotten every single thing locked down tight. Redskins will be tougher than people expect, but I think a W is very gettable. Cowboys, Raiders, Giants, and Chiefs I expect will be a literal downward slide in difficulty each week. 4-2 should be the goal by this point, anything less should be considered a failure. Red Games: Well, we couldn't get the Colts in week 16 or 17 unfortunately, but if you have to face them in the middle of the year, the best possible way to do it is being well-rested after being @ home for 3 weeks and coming off a bye. Unfortunately there will be no easy games in this stretch. Best we can hope for is that the Titans or Jags have a down year. Cause the Jets, Chargers, and Ravens will be hardcore playoff competition. The Eagles game is not only away, but on Thursday night and against Kolb, will he still be shakey by week 13? This game is a real question mark. Green Games: I don't expect the Broncos or Jags to be fighting for a playoff spot by the end of the year, so hopefully these will be easier games than the past would've otherwise dictated. But after that stretch of games before it, it will seem easier no matter what.
Wow, the Texans got a brutal schedule. They will not be able to duplicate last years record with that schedule. They could play far better than last year and still finish 7-9, 8-8. That is tough for a team that is building. They finish at or below 500 again and their confidence is shot.
It's hilarious to watch NFL fans act as if schedule strength is a final, non-binding thing in April. After all, there's no parity at all in the NFL or dramatic changes from year to year, right, Mr. Fan Of 13-3, No. 1 seed, Kerry Collins-led Titans? How'd that same team do in 2009, particularly before the QB switch?
He could very well be a troll....but DM you have to acknowledge the fact that that schedule is brutal for any team, much less a "team on the rise". Add to the fact that no major FAs added to the team....... 7-9 games in W column is pretty accurate. I really wish we could of swayed T.Jones to come here instead of Kansas City. Hell bring in Haynesworth to help the D-line and CB in the secondary. This team will have to realize that the tempo, intensity, focus, etc that they brought last year will only bring them to the doorsteps of MR. 8 Wins . They really have to bring it this year week in and week out. Lets kick some ass!!!!
It's already been shown that SOS really means nothing with all of the parity in the NFL. Our division remains competitive and one of the winningest in the NFL year in and year out, so it's not like we should be shocked about the SOS since we knew we were going to be playing those same 3 teams 6 times again. Free agents schmee-agents. We added what we needed, including resigning some big guns. The draft is less than a week away, I have no reason to be pessimistic about the 2010 Texans, and neither should you.
We'll win 10 games this year. I dont get why we have to be scared of teams like the Giants or the Eagles, we are just as good...instead of worrying that we have a short week to prepare for Eagles, why cant it be that it sucks for them that they have a short week to prepare for our top 3 offense? We are a very good team, there is no reason to fear anyone.
I just stated my opinion after looking at the schedule. It's a very tough schedule, and yes it's only April, but I guess noone should make negative predictions until September? I don't pretend to be a fan of the texans, so take my prediction for whatever its worth. As far as the parity with the NFL/Titans, I didn't expect a good year from the Titans with Kerry Collins at QB and no Albert Haynesworth before last season started. I also didn't expect an 0-6 start, but I was pretty damn happy with the way they finished the year and am confident VY and Chris Johnson will lead the titans to the playoffs in 2010. How was that monday night football game for you? Like I said in my previous post, good luck to the Texans, they will have to win at least 3 divisional games for them to have any shot at the playoffs.
Your response would be different if they had #30th ranked SOS. In any event, I hope everyone can step it up . Playoffs or bust!
