Cushing head butted the guy wearing a helmet remember? Never mind, you're just Incognitoing all over this thread
“Football’s an intense game, it’s played with a lot of passion, blood runs hot, I’ve been there, I’m no choir boy,” Incognito told reporters. ”People lost their cool, just thank God no one got hurt.”

Why is it ridiculous? Strength of Smith + hard NFL helmet straight into your head may not result in immediate death, but the sustained injury/injuries might cause death.
good lord you speak as if you are plugged into the league office or something. you're just a fan, dude.... just becasue you can type away a million words on the subject doesn't make it anymore true.
People don't realize how hard those helmets are. That being said, I don't think he had any intention of hitting incognito
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Unfair treatment of Antonio..the League continues to let one of the known dirtiest players get away without even a slap on the wrist</p>— Ben Tate (@BenTateRB) <a href="https://twitter.com/BenTateRB/statuses/369918145282072577">August 20, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Veterans always teach the rookies to keep your cool in situations like this. Smith didn't and now he won't be there for the opener thus letting the team down.
Miami Dolphin, Richie Incognito is the dirtiest player in the league with the worst douchebag tribal tattoos in the history of douchebag tribal tattoos. Antonio should hit him with a truck not a helmet.

First off, I've covered the Texans and the NFL as a fully credentialed media member for five years. So no, I'm not "just a fan"... I do have some intimate knowledge of how the system works. Beyond that, what specifically do you disagree with? I'd like to reply, but it's kind of difficult when you're so vague. I'll break it down into parts. 1.) With Adam Schefter, he is as good as it gets. His sources are gold. If he published a story saying the league was looking at a two-game preseason suspension for Smith, he got it from the top (or extremely close to it). 2.) As far as the timetable for Philbin complaining to the league office, that's straight from Jay Glazer in his report. http://msn.foxsports.com/watch/fox-...lbin-alerts-nfl-about-in-game-incident-081913 3.) On the stuff said to Antonio Saturday night, and people being aware of the incident, I was personally there in the locker room. There's also video of the official staring directly at the altercation. http://instagram.com/p/dNhZ9wpJqS/ 4.) On announcements not coming until business hours the next day -- this is standard NFL practice. Official NFL transactions from the league office are typically not done or processed after hours. I've been told this by NFL officials and seen it play out dozens of times. So which of those four are you disputing? Is it something else? Or are you just pulling the usual SWTsig special -- that is, a vague, unfounded personal insult that you have no intention of actually defending (because you can't)?
I don't know what kind of intent he had in that swing but LMFAO over the people who are comparing this to Suh and Haynesworth. Does Smith have a history I'm unaware of?
Texans and Smith should be happy he misses only one game. They should handily beat the Chargers without him.
