Good point, but it's still yes. To be with 50 Cowboys fans during the last 5 minutes of that game would have been tripled the pleasure of watching it.
It made me smile. The Cowboys are consistently over rated and over hyped. Nothing better than watching them crash and their fans having to shut up.
Ray Lewis and Ed Reed going gangsta up after the game: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7J8gZZKa-1w&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7J8gZZKa-1w&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
But are the Cowboys the ones overhyping or overrating themselves? I don't think Jerry plays on the field every sunday so because the owner talks big talk doesn't mean you should take it out on his players. Just hate Jerry. And despite all the superbowl talk from Jerry earlier in the season, every legit cowboys fan I talked to felt the same way-"No need/use talking about a super bowl until the 'boys can get a winning record in nov/dec and win a playoff game". Jerry's just a big mouth and needs to realize the best thing for his team would be for him to hire a GM and leave the personnel duties to the GM and Stephen Jones and Jerry just perform his ownership duties. I hear Scott Pioli might be leaving New England this season.
Love it. I'm going to the cowboys v. Eagles game in Philadelphia next week. I was hoping this game would have meaning. Even if the Eagles don't make the playoffs, seeing them knock the girls out of contention would be fantastic.
He's too much of a non-factor most games to blame him these days. He had a couple of goofs this game...but nothing to really blame him. The most notable was him running down the field at a million miles an hour and he looks back for the ball...and it lands right beside him. He didn't see it! Wha...wha...what?!?!? lol
TO's antics are a big part of their overall problems, along with Jerry Jones' meddling and Romo's late-season fade. This particular game, he contributed a dropped TD pass. The Cowboys need to cut bait with TO, which means I hope he plays there next year.
He's still our best receiver at the moment but getting rid of him could pave the way for Roy Williams. I'm on the fence about it. TO still has game left...even with the controversy. This team will always have some controversy. It's almost better for TO to be at the center of it. If he's not, then someone else will be.
Another problem is this team needs a guy/leader that's not afraid to light into the other players when they're underperforming-someone w/ a Ray Lewis mindset. TO did it this season when Gurode decided not to contest for a Romo fumble but if TO does it then the media/ESPN will pick up on it and talk about TO being a malcontent again and going at teammates. Tank Johnson does it but seeing as Jay Ratliff has outperformed Tank, who the heck is gonna take Tank seriously. This team needs a leader, Wade and Garrett don't qualify.
Do you really believe that? TO takes tension and distraction to a destructive level. I hope he stays because a divided Cowboy lockerroom is a good thing from my standpoint.
i was with a bar full of cowboys fans (including my friends) during the cowboys/seahawks playoff game in 2006... the ending to that game was fan-*****ing-tastic
yes...i believe we are a better team with TO. we've seen what happens to the cowboys with TO out. they become a much more mediocre team at that point. it is fact. now, that could change when roy williams becomes a bigger part of the gameplan and offense. but, without TO, the cowboys truly have no chance. he still draws double teams and still makes big plays at times. even when he sucks, he still has the stats to prove he is our best WR. getting rid of TO now would be dumb. maybe if he punches a coach or a teammate...then i would reconsider. it hasn't happened. it's mostly media spinning tales and blowing statements out of proportion...more than TO dividing any lockerroom. the cowboys know controversy. it's a constant when they lose. they can handle it. when they get on the football field, all that BS goes out the window and it's playing a game.
As a Cowboys fan I was cheering for the Redskins today and they did a won a tough one against the Eagles. I think that still gives the boys a chance with a win in Philly next week... which is always tough.
They are a better team on the field with TO but he hurts in the locker room and is basically a huge jerk off. I despise having him on the team as much as I hated having Sanders on the field in the 90's. Jason Garret has been out coached the past 3 weeks and based on the way the defense imploded I'd say Phillips needs a new D coordinator to pay attention to details that obviously he's missing. As a fan I'd hugely disappointed in the season but I'm still holding out hope. Call your bet Lil Pun, you have worn your sig with pride.
