I believe this is the year the Chargers finally get over the hump. Rivers and Kaeding are definitely clutch.
Jets run the ball and play great "D", thats normally a good formula for success but Sanchez will eventually end up hurting them but should cause some havoc. Norv Turner is an idiot so it's hard to count on the Chargers but i'll go with them in the AFC. Saints worry me but its obvious they gave up in the last few weeks so they should at the very least get to the NFC title. The team to watch is Green Bay, they are playing great ball and "D" under Capers is really coming together. SD vs GB for the title
Championship games Cowboys vs Packers( Dal ) Chargers vs Colts (SD) SuperBowl Cowboys vs Chargers ( Cowboys Win ) !!!
I don't care about the Cowboys. I just adopted the Eagles in 99 after I got over the Oilers leaving. McNabb became my favorite player after the way he handled the whole draft fiasco and the subsequent criticism.
Ahh cool beans.. Well my head was saying that the Cowboys would win this game but I went with my heart. Bad mistake..
I used to live near Philly so I tend to root for their teams when not rooting for Houston. The Flyers are my favorite hockey team and I saw a ton of Phillies games during the Mike Schmidt era when I was up there. I'm kind of lukewarm on the Eagles and Sixers but generally root for them in the playoffs if Houston isn't in it.
There are three threads about the playoff going on right now, can we get a singular official playoffs thread? Like the Week 13, etc threads we had?
Still hoping the Jets pull off the karma sweep next week. One down, one to go. After that its Chargers all the way. I might actually watch a Chargers/Packers matchup.
I'm telling you if the Jets end up playing the Colts they could have their hands full. The matchup is not favorable. Colts Biggest Strength is passing, but whoops they're going against the best pass defense in the league by leaps and bounds. Jets gave up 30 less yards per game than the second best past defense and 6 less passing touchdowns than the next (8 on the entire season). That's one passing touchdown every two games if you're keeping score. Also, Jets are the best running team in the league going against the worst rushing defense in the playoffs (24th overall). They obliterated the Bengals much better rushing defense yesterday, how do you think they're going to do against the Colts? It has the makings of an upset.
Too bad the Patriots screwed the pooch leaving the Jets to face the Chargers..... Oh well, maybe the Ravens will take out the Colts too......
