I hate Dallas...but it looked like Romo might have been close to first down yardage himself...and it looked like the ground might have caused that fumble. I guess Parcells didn't want to risk the time out with a challenge.
That's not the way you wanna see a team win or lose. But Romo shouldn't be too hard on himself because he's not the only reason the Cowboys lose this one.
I was wondering why Madden/Michaels were talking as if Dallas had the lead already ("All Dallas has to do now is take a knee"... after the presumed 1st down catch at the 1 yard line). I know its a chip-shot FG... but anything can happen (and did). I wouldn't have been suprised with a block, or just a flat-out miss my "auto"-matica. I was suprised that Romo muffed the hold... but I also thought he had a chance to run it in (which would have elevated him to HOF status overnight). Ah well... Dallas is 1 and out again... Parcells done? TO gone?
I think we all knew that was going to happen the way it did. Too much bs there at the end of the game for it to end in the Cowboys favor. That's why I picked Seattle.
Wow. That's all I can say. If I were Parcells I would have never challenged the TD call on the safety, I would have rather let them tie the game and have my team get the ball back, rather than retain the lead and give them the ball with good field position with a chance to take the lead. I would have allowed the TD and then went down the field to try to win it, worse case scenario, you go to overtime. I feel bad for Romo.
