If 2003 was a fluke. I was asking if 2003 a fluke or if it was the GRUDEN factor. That's what I was asking you. :( I got it. I got it.

Gannon had his career ended by Derrick Brooks the next season, Kerry Collins took over and the rest was history.

I didn't actually follow stats or "losing team in the Super Bowl" history, but that was the first time I knew that stat or that bit of info... it was because of Gannon's injury that sent the Raiders reeling... and he was in my FF team that year, but I knew it too late.

The Raiders were already crumbling anyway, I think they would have been maybe 7-9 tops had Gannon not went down that year. Age simply caught up.

Speaking of Romo... He is in the wrong system. He is suited for a bad offensive team where his flailing style can help add some light at the end of the tunnel. He can't manage powerful offensive weapons very well. So no, he isn't very good, but he may be able to offer something positive to a team like Tennessee.

What powerful offensive weapons does he have?

Julius "ouch that sideline hurts when you fall on it" Jones seems to be a nice weapon twice a year when he's healthy.

I hope the poster you quoted was being sarcastic because Romo only has success when he let's the game come to him, if he presses and tries to make something out of nothing he usually fails.

Witten? Maybe the best 3 back tandem(though Felix Jones & Barber can't stay healthy. Roy Williams was a great player in Detroit...

Witten has nobody to open things up for him anymore and through four games looks nothing more than average. They may be the best tandem in the league when they are healthy but none of them ever are at the same time. Williams is a bust and hasn't done squat since 06. Those are some real good weapons right there. ;)

Can't think of another coordinators whose stock has dropped faster than Garrett, he probably should have taken that head coaching job when it was offered a few years ago.

Haven't read the whole thread, but has Cedric Benson been mentioned yet ? Dude is thriving in the Bengals goofy system -- he looks like a completely different player.

Might have more to do with him getting refocused, something he never did while he was with the Bears.

I think he was was pretty focused especially after the criticism started raining down in Chicago -- something is different about him now and it's not just being more focused.
