A VY or Kerry Collins-led Titans team would easily beat the Raiders right now.

Like I said earlier, I'm not even going to watch another Raiders game this year, and until that senile old man is removed from power... I don't think I will bother again.

I don't get them on TV anyway, but that performance was seriously the worst thing I have ever seen out of a supposed NFL team. If not for the Texans red zone ineptitude and Slaton's NFL Follies moment, the final score would have been something like 47-3.

On NFL radio today, they talked about the hardest places for a coach because of the owners.

    Dallas, Washington, and Oakland.

Dallas and Washington is just unfair pressure to win. The whole Lane Kiffin Saga with Al Davis would make me taking a coordinator position with a team before being an HC there.

Being immersed in the Houston sports scene makes it pretty hard to not hear about the Texans 24/7. I watch every game they play usually, I've kind of adopted them as my other team to some regard.

The Texans fans I talked with were pretty surprised with how much I knew about the Texans. I know entirely way too much about football for my own good. This Pats fan was trying to convince me that Richard Seymour was like 34 years old and thats why the Pats dumped him.

You know, I was glad to see Slaton play well, and the Texans run defense was stellar for once. Hopefully they use the Raiders as a springboard for their confidence, when you look at the Texans 2 losses so far, the Jets and Jaguars appear to be pretty good teams this year.

Thats life in the NFL for ya. Gonna need to beat Jacksonville in Jacksonville to have a shot at the wild card most likely.

One thing for sure, McFadden is NOT a RB that is -3 yard rushing bad. Look at Felix Jones at Dallas when he's healthy and gets touches. Or even the same McFadden last year in certain stretches. I'll stick my with comment of Raiders having bad players running bad play calls by bad coaches hired by a terrible owner. Its such a mess you cant even get a true read of the offensive personnel.

QB is the most visible and accountable position, but its further than just dumping it all on Jamarcus. I'd like Cable to say in court he punched another coach cuz Russell's contagious sucking got to him.

Darren is a good player, and I do think if he gets into a better situation he will develop into what Reggie Bush should be, a guy who is an average runner, but is going to wreak havoc if you get him matched with a linebacker in the passing game.

That game yesterday was unbelievable. You can't give your struggling QB 2nd and 11,10,9 every time and expect to move the ball. The line did get pushed around, but the linebackers shot the gaps at will. It also should be noted that the fullback who was starting was not the usual starter, but a backup, so again its a ****storm of many things.

First and foremost an owner who thinks what worked in 1973 should still work in 2009, and refuses to set his ego aside and admit the game has passed him by. A QB who has all the arm in the world, but lacks the motivation and the accuracy. An offensive line that is missing a few pieces, but even when healthy not something to write home about. Then you've got the sucker-punching offensive line coach pretending to be John Madden out there. Put that all together and it you've got a 3 hour long laugh track.

It seems like most of the 2nd year RBs are having subpar starts to their seasons. Matt Forte and Slaton scored their first TDs of the season this week. Jonathan Stewart hasn't done anything. McFadden looked good in the first half against San Diego in Week 1, hasn't done anything but fumble and lose 3 yards trying to hit the corner ever since. Kevin Smith of the Lions has been pretty consistent, he's pretty good.

I recall I said last year before the season that I thought Rashard Mendenhall was going to end up being the best back of the 08 draft.

He finally got an opportunity last night and he looked pretty damn good.

Crappier with a much higher salary. No thanks.

McFadden signed a 50 million dollar contract. Not sure how much he's making in '09, but Slaton is making $385k.

I was discussing this with a few of my Raider buddies.

    Sproles for McFadden?

I wouldn't do it from a Bolt's fan point of view.

I think Jones-Drew is the best running back in the league WITH a good offensive line.

Imagine Jones-Drew on the Vikings, wow!!!!

For the money I like slaton. If slaton and mcfadden switch places I bet mcfaden would put up good yards.

This is just more irony in all the Reggie Bush talk. That the "poor man's version" Reggie Bush-lite copy cat in the same city same conference is the one thats wreaking havoc on the league as a runner.

    By the way, just in
So, there ya go...lets give him the poor guy the benefit of the doubt away from that on field distaster and say he was too injured to do anything

I'd still take Adrian Pterson over Jones-Drew.

I don't know if you watched him at OU, but that man is a beast.

I can't really think of any, but I can think of several in the right system and would soon enough decline in the wrong one.

I haven't read through the thread yet and somebody may have already responded. Give Russell a couple more years of heavy eating and see how athletic he is at +300 lbs.
