I really dont see why the NFL should do anything to punish him from this??, this is a non-story. Police weren't involved, media overblowing something as usual.
Exactly. No one is defending him (not even his body guard, apparently) because there is/was nothing to see here. A squabble over a bar tab? Punishable?
Dude was just starting to play half way decent. I hate to have to pull for someone with such crappy judgment knowing that anytime he might pull some stunt that ends his season leaving the team in a bind. Get your act together dumbass!
Even as a rabid Dallas Cowboys hater, I have to say this doesn't seem like a huge deal. I know Pacman was on very thin ice becuase of his past, but I probably would take no action if I was Goodell. But being a rabid Dallas hater, I can say that I would be quite giddy with whatever disciplinary action Goodell does take, if it screws the Cowboys over.
I'm not saying he should be punished but he is definitely ignorant for putting himself in the situation.
I'm a Cowboys fan as well...and I don't care what happens at this point. It is clear that over the last few weeks...Pacman has been putting himself in positions to get in trouble by going out. That is evident because Jerry Jones has asked him just recently to keep a lower profile. Then, he goes and does this. I don't care if he's our best corner right now. He's an idiot so whatever happens...happens. For someone who is on his last chance in the NFL, he sure isn't acting like it's all that important to him when he is off the field.
It's summertime, people suppose..oh wait... Well, this doesn't surprise me, but I am disappointed it's only a little over a month into the season...I don't have a problem with guys drinking, fighting, but not when you're on short leash, c'mon...I wonder which hotel it was... I think Roger will discipline him, but I don't think it'll be that long...I don't see it as a big deal...DWI, that's a different story...It could be a long game sunday if pacman's out...
Not going to excuse the man [he is what he is ]but this does add some perspective esp the first several segments http://www.esquire.com/features/history-of-pacman-jones Imagine being 26 and the oldest male in your family Rocket River
Bwa ha ha. Stupid Cowboys. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3643240 Pacman suspended at least 4 games for violating conduct policy ESPN.com Updated: October 14, 2008, 2:44 PM ET Comment Email Print Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has been suspended for at least the next four games of Dallas' season for his most recent violation of the league's personal conduct policy., the NFL announced Tuesday. In announcing his decision, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Jones' "disturbing pattern of behavior was clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL." Jones was notified by Goodell that he is suspended indefinitely without pay as a result of his most recent violation of the league's personal conduct policy. Goodell will determine the final length of Jones' suspension following the Cowboys' Week 11 game against Washington on Nov. 16, the league said. The decision on whether Jones can return to play will be based on his strict compliance with his NFL and Cowboys treatment plans as well as on evaluations of Jones' progress that will be provided to Goodell by clinical experts retained by the NFL.
Newman, arguably their best corner, is out 4-6 weeks Pacman, proabably their second best corner, is out at least 4 games Romo out 4 weeks Felix out 2-4 weeks McBriar gone for the season, yes he is a punter but punter's are more important than people think What's next?
I just want him off the team already. I wasn't really for the move at all, but I realized that it was a low risk / high reward type deal. But he has busted off his short leash. Let him go. It's not like they are depending on him.
^^^ What a train wreck. And people were throwing the words dynasty and championship in the same sentence with the Cowboys.
I don't see any reason to think so. Cowboys still have their frontline in tact, and still have 3 good corners to line up out there(Henry, Jenkins, Scandrick). Of course if their offense goes to complete **** that will give the Rams more opportunity, but I think Dallas will try to grind it out more and use the clock.
