For those of you who had October 7 as the date on which cornerback Pacman Jones gets into trouble, it’s time to collect your prize.

According to CBS 11 in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Jones got into a fight with a bodyguard on Tuesday night at an upscale Dallas hotel.

The team isn’t commenting on the situation.

Per the report, it was a “violent confrontation” in a bathroom. Patrons could clearly hear that a fight was occurring, and at least one mirror in the bathroom was broken. Jones reportedly left the hotel without paying his bar tab.

Ironically, Commissioner Roger Goodell met with the Cowboys on Wednesday. Goodell had this to say regarding Pacman:

“Adam knows how much emphasis I put on making sure that he makes good choices going forward, that he avoids situations where he can reflect poorly on himself, the Cowboys or the NFL. So far he seems to have been able to do that very effectively. I am supportive of him and am hopeful that he will be able to do that for the rest of his life. I am hoping he will not only be a great NFL player but he will continue to do the right things so he can lead a productive life off the field as well.”

DPD rep on local news just said there were no "chargeable offenses" after interviewing people on the scene and "all parties involved."

It was hardly a reenactment of the scene from Hustle & flow.

Nothing to see here.

The good news about Adam 'Pacman' Jones

The Pacman era at Valley Ranch is most likely about to end or be put on hold for a little while after he threw some haymakers at a hotel. I just can't see tough-on-thugs Roger Goodell letting this one slide less than a month and a half after reinstating Mr. Jones.

"Adam knows how much emphasis I put on making sure that he makes good choices going forward, that he avoids situations where he can reflect poorly on himself, the Cowboys or the NFL," Goodell said earlier today, before news broke about Pacman's situation that reflects poorly on himself, the Cowboys and the NFL.

But it's not all bad news.

On the bright side, there isn't any need to waste jet fuel if the commish wants to have a face-to-face with Pacman to inform him of his penalty. Pacman conveniently got into a scrap with his bodyguard the day before Sheriff Goodell arrived for a planned Valley Ranch visit.

And Jerry Jones, who was well aware of the risk for a major PR embarrassment when the Cowboys traded for Pacman, will have another 2009 pick in his pocket. Per the terms of the trade with the Titans, the Cowboys will get Tennessee's fifth-round pick if Pacman misses any action because of off-field issues after reinstatement, which is pretty much a certainty at this point.

No police report was filed and I highly doubt his bodyguard files charges, should be interested to see how Goodell handles this one but I don't think he's done...yet.

how [insert word] do you have to be to get in to a fight... with your own bodyguard?

i'd like to hear pacman's side of the story, and hopefully what you guys say is true and he can avoid penalty.
