    Delaying and then paying Dak was stupid beyond description. Sometimes I think Jerry makes so much money with the Cowboys he doesn't really care. Knowing the franchise is worth nearly $13 billion will do that.

    All teams pay guys, except the Patriots (where the real secret sauce was Brady never maximizing his contract). The Rams rebuild was one season followed by back to back playoff seasons where they lost close games. You just have to be smart about it. The good news in the NFL is it is real easy to rebuild, you just need a well run organization...

    If he knows he can't win with Dak, why is Dak still there? To me this team is now a classic Jeff Fisher team. Sitting around .500 every year unless Dak gets seriously hurt.

    The answer to your question is marketing and money.

    Dak is a really good QB that cant string together 3-4 good/great games against playoff level teams. But he can get you 10-12 regular season wins on a regular basis. Kinda like the old Oilers and Moon.
