NBC is dumping the Bears/Seattle for Pats/Bills: http://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/stories/2007/11/05/daily9.html The next team to try and beat the undefeated New England Patriots will be the Buffalo Bills and a national TV audience will get to watch. The National Football League and NBC announced Monday that the Nov. 18 game between the AFC East rivals will move from a 1 p.m. kickoff at Ralph Wilson Stadium to 8:15 p.m. Under NBC's "flex" contract with the NFL, the network has the option of switching games later in the season. The previously scheduled game, between the Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears, will be switched to the afternoon. The Patriots are 9-0, the last of the NFL's unbeaten teams, while the Bills have won three straight games to improve to 4-4. The Bills hosted a Monday night game against the Dallas Cowboys in October.
They aren't allowed to start switching games until Week 10. I was surprised it wasn't scheduled as a night game to begin with. I know cowboys/Eagles is a rivalry, but Pats/Colts is the best rivalry the game has right now.
Those were the rules they put in place when the NFL game NBC the ability to switch games. http://www.nfl.com/schedules/tv/flexible
